Things we learned about Tomb Quest since the Kickstarter launched today!!

It is set in Michigan, confirmed by Nick Lang

Curt's character is Luke, and Lucian Heartstring (in the game)

AJ is playing Gary the DM and partly Terrazon (the in-game villain)

Kim's character is Melanie, and Melanor Truthsteel (in the game)

Curt and Kim are playing love interests, CONFIRMED

Joey and Lauren are playing the friends that have a grudge with each other

Joey is playing Kevin, but couldn't say who Kevin was in-game (unfortunately for now lol, but we will find out eventually)

Lauren and Corey were not in the stream but Nick Lang did say we will of course get character highlight videos and they'll update the Kickstarter so we'll find out their names soon.

The cast WILL be the six members we saw in the trailer: AJ, Curt, Kim, Joey, Lauren and Corey.

(also because other SK members have other scheduling conflicts)

Ali Gordon is assistant director! Nick Lang is director and Matt Lang is a writer! Eric Kahn Gale, Becky Clark, Juiet Park, Matt Dahan and Brian Holden are also involved on the creative side!!

Also as confirmed by Eric, the dead friend does not show up as themselves in the show, but they do show up as their in-game character.

Some of the cast gave acronyms of some of their favorite songs, since the question came up about what everyone's favorite song was so far- so the song titles we know of right now are EOTQ, and AOWM- We may find out what the letters stand for and hear the full song demos if they're unlocked during future streams.

In terms of streams for Tomb Quest, Nick confirmed they will be doing a stream every Saturday leading up to the finale of the Kickstarter.

May 16 is going be discussing future StarKid shows!!!

And one Saturday stream will be just the directors and writers since Nick Lang said everyone else was booked lol, so it will be a writer/director stream!

So I recently watched a bit more Critical Role content.

I did watch more Candela Obscura, specifically the Circle of the Crimson Mirror, and wow, was that a complete 360 from the Daggerheart Critmas Story🤣

Hello? Has anyone else out there watched the first episode of Realm DND like me yet?

I absolutely love it so far.

The Starkid/Smosh/Dropout x DnD circle (Venn diagram?..) gets bigger every day lol.

I don't have a fave character from the campaign yet - it's still so early and we literally just got the first episode to start it all today, BUT I did love Jon's intro to Veyl and Lauren's as Chehlsee.

The imagery of Veyl being a masked alter ego, specifically the "honey badger" is amazing to me. Also when he rolled a 10 on acrobatics and George was like "Great! So you're like leaping from roof to roof, but you almost die" 🤣🤣🤣

And Lauren- omg, THE Lauren Lopez everybody. We needed to see her in a DnD campaign setting and like I'm so glad because she is a NATIONAL TREASURE.

The part of the story with Chehlsee and the plant KEETH had me ENRAPTURED. I was crying, I was laughing, I was emo, I was all the emotions. I LOVE seeing Lauren just take off and do her thing with her characters.

I can't wait to see what they do in the next episode, and I've already begun calling Chehlsee a Soul Searcher even if he isn't technically an official part of the crew. Because he did say "I wanna stick with my gang" and I LOVE that Lauren had him say that.

Giving very much "You better not mess with my gang or you'll be messing with oopy goopy, General munchkin man, Lil Jim Bob and worst of all- Larry."

Like oh that's FAMILY. I will be calling all of them TOGETHER the Soul Searchers. I can already see the found family vibes in my head. I love a good found family dynamic. And I eat it up every time!! Well yes!

Also I hope that 'Soul Searchers' ends up sticking as their name because it does remind me of how CR ends up with group names for their campaigns. Also Soul Searchers just rolls off the tongue to me, it's just a group name that sounds so smooth. And now I'm gonna need like a crossover of like the Soul Searchers meeting the Crown Keepers or like one of the groups from Dimension 20😂

Specifically the first group that popped into my head being the Crown Keepers. For some reason I can just see Dariax and Opal in my minds eye planning it😆 they’d totally be into it

And I could see them possibly getting Fearne to join meanwhile Dorian and Orym are just “tired of this” fathers energy (also I haven’t watched Kymal but I know there was an actual heist in that so Dorian is probably gonna give in eventually and assist somehow lol)

And then Fy’ra Rai joins in somewhere along the way (she’s actually the reason their heist goes successfully and stops them from being caught in 4K and leaving in record time with more jewels than they thought they would)

I WATCHED CANDELA OBSCURA

Only the first circle, but holy hell did this series start with a banger.

I absolutely loved it.

Idk what it was about the combo of Laura Bailey, Robbie Daymond, Anjali Bhimani and Ashley Johnson, but it was fantastic. Spectacular give me 14 more. And my first intro to Matt as a DM (I have not watched the OG campaigns)

I need more of The Circle of Vassal and Veil already.

Howard eating bacon at the diner became slightly funnier to me after having watched Exandria Unlimited previously- "bacon lips" was all I could think of during the moment

Once again, giving my flowers to Laura Bailey for how vividly she was describing the ritual that Arlo did- she had Arlo utilize so many of her character's abilities and that was so cool to me

The way it went downhill so fast from there- Arlo and Auggie getting their faces taken and Charlotte being knocked unconscious

Howard running at the creature and just deciding to go in to literally try and find Arlo's face and pull it out with all his strength in a last save attempt

I was literally so scared I was going to witness my first TPK ever

The way it got so close to a TPK MULTIPLE times too

Thank GOD Matt was like, Arlo your face is back

Thank god, my shaylas all lived- barely, but they made it back to Candela

I think I would've cried honestly and then just sat in silence in shock if they all died, like if I had to witness any of them but especially AUGGIE die???? It would be so over

Alll of them getting to describe the scars they ended up with was cool- the way their characters all changed so much over just that much of a campaign... wow

Like Arlo ended up being so close to becoming retired or a Lightkeeper.. part of me is like, nooo that's so soon- but the other part is thinking hmm it would be cool to see a player become a Lightkeeper just to see what that dynamic is like

I hope we can see more of Candela Obscura eventually someday. It would be cool to have the characters from this circle meet other circles. I myself still have to watch the other circles though🤣
