。·:✧:· FIDGETING, EMILIA LOOKED down at her hands, trying to figure out the best way to ask at this point. She’d been trying to stand up to others, but also trying not to blow up in their faces. It was that weird point between dark and light that she struggled with. Emilia was a sweet girl, that was for sure, but she wasn’t sure how to do this properly. “I was hoping you knew how to get a boy to leave you alone. I’m really not interested in this guy and he just will not leave me alone and I’ve been asking everyone and no one seems to help. But he’s watching me from the other corner and I’m really freaked out.”

            she’d  been  out  for  another  late  night  walk ,  a  chance  to  clear  her  head ,  to  actually  feel  without  the  guilt  that  came  from  worrying  her  friends .  sneaking  into  the  prefects  bathrooms  was  just  an  added  bonus .   (  she  couldn’t  thank  ivy  enough  for  the  password  )   mary  was  on  her  way  back  to  bed  now ,  towel  in  hand  she  dried  her  as  she  walked .  stopping  suddenly  when  she  saw  a  wandlit  figure  round  a  corner .  “  shit ,  ”

。·:✧:· YOU’D THINK THAT after getting scared in the darkness outside that Emilia would’ve learned not to go places late at night, but she had a problem. When her desire of knowledge or fear that an animal might not be alright struck her, she couldn’t help it. That was exactly how she’d found herself walking through the castle late at night, wand in hand, hoping no one else was around. She’d woken up hearing a soft squeal outside, to find a small bunny rabbit in pain. After having made sure he was comfortable, she headed inside, making a point to check on him tomorrow. Seeing someone else walking through the castle, she peeked around the corner. “You’re not here to give me detention are you? I won’t tell if you won’t.”

he was pent up, the match and partying over and the prospect of one or both of his parents showing up for venit, which he was not actually a part of. they didn’t know that but if they came they would find out fast. so bas was quite on edge, anxious and hoping for a distraction as he read the same sentence in his textbook for the seventh time. he looked up from the book and sighed, rubbing his face to try and snap himself out of it.

。·:✧:· AS SHE SEARCHED for a good spot to draw, and not think about the fact that her sister managed to start showing up more often. Emilia didn’t dislike her sister, no, that wasn’t it at all, they were just so different. The small redhead wasn’t loud, obnoxious and completely for all of their parents’ beliefs. No, she preferred to fight in the background, use her sass and fire for things that mattered. And drawing, well, that calmed her and it didn’t matter what she drew. Somehow, she’d managed to find herself standing in front of Rabastan. A soft chuckle slipped through her lips. She remembered him. She’d baked for him. “Rough day? I’m sorry I don’t have any baked goods to cheer you up. The House Elves played a trick on me last night and switched the sugar for the salt and I’m still mad at them.”

“I don’t want to be apart from my pet though. And to let someone else take care of it? Not really all that ideal for me. I have so much envy for people who get to have their pets by their side all the time” she sighed and shrugged as she looked at the redhead. “I know that I can have a pet here. But just the thought of being separated just for a few days? Sounds like hell” she added, a small pout forming on her lips. “I wanna try and convince my father. I do want a lizard. That would be cool, right?”

。·:✧:· TILTING HER HEAD to the side, she tried to rack her brain for another solution. “Oh, well that makes sense. You want it with you at all times. I have a cat and I just love it when she’s right there with me. That’s the whole point. They’re there when you need them to be,” Emilia explained, a bright grin on her face. As the girl continued to talk, the grin on her face increased, because oh goodness, a lizard would be so incredible and she wanted to hear about all of it now. “You should definitely do that! A lizard would be so cool! They’re not really high maintenance and besides, how cool would you look with a lizard just chilling on your shoulder?” she stated, laughing. “If you want to practice your speech on me, I wouldn’t mind.”

Lucius had a secret spot where he always went to work out. And today he was in a desperate need to just sweat and distract himself from the nagging thoughts at the back of his head. He was no fool however and after an hour, he could feel the old familiar sensation of being watched. So he smirked to himself, standing up and turning around just in time to see all the girls run off. All except one. “Why are you not joining your friends?”

。·:✧:· EMILIA THOROUGHLY ENJOYED drawing people when they were least expecting it. She knew it was a desire that she probably shouldn’t continue with, but she couldn’t help herself. That day, she’d been searching for someone entertaining to draw when she’d heard a bunch of girls talking about Lucius Malfoy working out, and it was the most perfect idea. Oh gosh, could you imagine how sexy he’d look all sketched out? Emilia couldn’t help herself. She ran after the girls and plopped herself down on the ground before pulling out her sketchpad. When all the girls had run off, Emilia didn’t move, because she was far too busy sketching and didn’t really care, until he turned to her and spoke. Her cheeks turned the color of her hair and she couldn’t help the giggle that escaped her lips. “Oh, I... they’re not my friends. I’m not done with my sketch either,” she started to explain, before she bit her lip. “Would you mind letting me finish?”

          BARTY HAD BEGUN to make a habit of walking around the castle at night. After all, he knew these halls well enough now to not get caught, and most of the people who would catch him knew that it was smarter for them to not. That being said, he had begun to view the hallways at night as his own private sanctuary, especially near the dungeons where he could run back to his common room if necessary. With his eyes well adjusted to the dark, Barty had seen the badger coming a good ways off, but he continued to watch before speaking just to see what exactly she was doing down here. As she pressed against the walls, he finally decided that she needed his help, so he took a step forward, only slightly expecting her surprise. “Well, I can clearly see that,” he said, shaking his head slightly as he moved towards her again. “Are you lost, dear?” he asked, licking his lips as he looked her over. He had seen her before but couldn’t quite place her name.

。·:✧:· THE SMALL REDHEAD knew that she got scared easily and knew it was quite a problem and most definitely knew that she needed to grow up a little bit. But this darkness, down in the dungeons really wasn’t helping, at all. In fact, all it was doing was making it worse. Her hands were sweating and her heart felt as though it was beating out of her chest. This afternoon, Emilia had even told herself she needed to try new things and explore places of the castle she wouldn’t normally explore. But this night was one she wasn’t expecting. Her eyes watched him move forward, her light green eyes full of fear. Swallowing, she tried her best not to whimper or make any noise that might make her even more scared. “I t-think so. I didn’t mean to come down here, but now I don’t know h-how to get back to my common room.” Lifting her head, her eyes meeting his for a moment, Emilia wondered if she should be looking him in the eyes. “Could you help me?”

“Oh I am beyond certain that it wasn’t anything that would harm you” she said and shrugged as she looked towards the woods, humming a little as she did so. “We are supposed to be safe here. No need to worry” Anaïs added, nudging her gently before folding her arms across her chest. Falling silent for a few seconds, the blonde then chuckled. 

。·:✧:· BREATHING DEEPLY, EMILIA really hoped that she was right, seriously hoping that nothing was going to jump out at the two of them at all. “Oh good. I’m a bit of a scaredy cat, honestly, especially when it’s dark outside.” Wrapping her arms around herself, she looked around, her bright red hair flying through the air. Emilia really needed to get better at all of this. Looking up at the girl, she tilted her head to the side, “What are you doing out here?”

The girl was actually sweet. No facade, no play pretend. No, she looked like she was actually a sweet person. What a shock for the chaos loving witch. Just studying her, Noelia tilted her head to the side and smirked. “I mean you can continue to talk about animals. I love animals as well, you see” she shrugged, clasping her hands together. “I want to have a pet. A cute, fluffy cat. But my parents refuse and it breaks my heart”

。·:✧:· SHE KNEW THAT on occasion, she could be far too sweet, the kind of sweet that threw people off, wondering if she had some kind of secret hidden agenda, but quite honestly, that wasn’t who she was. Emilia really was just that sweet, unless of course you unleashed that fire in her, the fire that was as red as her hair. But when the girl told her she could continue to talk about animals, it did nothing but make her happy. She adored talking about animals and could do it all day. “Oh! That’s very very good to know! I could do it all day, honestly.” Tilting her head to the side, she pursed her lips, “Well, couldn’t you get one to have here? You could then have someone else watch it over the holidays. I’m sure you could also find a friend who has one and become it’s second mother or something,” Emilia stated, laughing lightly.

          AS SHE SPOKE to him, his smirk only grew. “Wing woman? Now there’s an idea,” he beamed back at her with a wink. He hadn’t really talked to the girl before, but he was already impressed with what she could come up with on such short notice. “Why shouldn’t I come talk to you though? You look like you’re not doing anything important, and I need some help,” he tried to explain.

。·:✧:· AS HE SPOKE, Emilia couldn’t help the look on her face of shock at her own words. Had she really said that to Sirius Black? This was going to be a nightmare, or would it? She really wasn’t all that sure that she was ready for it, but for some reason, she couldn’t stop talking to him and quite honestly, she didn’t know why or how. “I’m really good at convincing people to do things, but I do think that’s only because I can bake,” the small redhead stated, laughing to herself. Raising her eyebrows, she closed her book and sighed. “I was trying to read a book, but I guess closing it for you is happening now,” Emilia explained, sighing, before turning back toward the beautiful man sitting in front of her. Perhaps it would be a good idea to do something different with her day. “What kind of help are we talking here?”

“i wasn’t smokin’, the grass was.” he teases. a cheeky smile on his face as he fixes his slightly blurry gaze on her. “aww, ya care if i get caught? tha’s new.”

。·:✧:· RAISING ONE EYEBROWS, the small redhead tried her best not to laugh at all. She wasn’t sure what to say now, as he’d caught her in a moment she probably wouldn’t actually act on. “Sure, the grass. Whatever you say.” Letting her head drop, Emilia wondered what the next best thing to say would be. “I mean, is that so bad? I’m just trying to look out for you, you know, so you can live another day without the wrath of a horrible day in detention.”

             the  redhead’s  chipperness  surprised  sybill  somewhat  but  she  found  herself  smiling  back  at  her  and  apologising .  “  oh  well ,  i’m  still  sorry  i  don’t  have  the  right  cards  on  me .  if  you’re  ever  curious  maybe  another  time ?  ”  placing  the  cards  between  them ,  she  gestured  for  the  other  to  take  a  seat .  “  we  could  play  snap ?  the  normal ,  non-exploding  kind ,  ”

。·:✧:· NODDING WITH A smile, Emilia wondered if maybe there would be a day where she’d want to know. “Perhaps, maybe, one day, for the fun of it,” she explained. Much of the time, she liked to live life as it came and didn’t really like to plan it all that much, because that meant she’d have to process more than the fun and exciting moments of her life. A soft laugh slipped through her lips. “I’d like that. Sometimes, I have to admit, the exploding kind frightens me a bit. I tend to get scared easily,” the redhead explained. Sitting down across from her, Emilia couldn’t help but smile, glad that perhaps they could have a calm game. She got herself comfortable. “Is your day going well?”

andromeda regards the redhead with an overwhelming sense of confusion, the emotion more than likely translating through to her facial expression. “ yeah, i’m fine. ” she insists, raising her eyebrows as she waited for the subsequent explanation for the other girl’s presence. “ what kind of animals? ” she asks, curiosity piqued. though she was cautious around most animals, andromeda did love them –– especially the cute ones. she was still attempting to get peter’s cat wendy to like her, despite agonizingly slow goings. 

。·:✧:· SHE WAS GLAD the girl was alright, glad she hadn’t freaked her out or anything. A small smile forced across her face, appreciative of the fact that the girl had now continued on the conversation. “Oh! Well, I was trying to help a snake out. He got stuck in one of the bushes and now, he’s kind of following me around. And I really like all kinds of birds, gosh, they’re just so pretty, I could bird watch forever. There’s also these really adorable rabbits. I think everyone should love them,” Emilia stated, far too excited about this conversation. The small redhead was trying her damndest to not jump up and down with excitement, for fear she’d freak the girl out.

The night was when she came alive. It was when she truly felt whole, like she could be herself and not fear that her mother and father would see. It felt like she was drowning, like whatever she did they found out. How is that possible? It wasn’t fair, she was a prisoner and she hated it. Her fingers dance over the cold Hogwarts walls as she walks down the hallway. A smirk formed when she saw the other, arching one of her eyebrows because a scream wasn’t what she had been expecting. “Oh come on now, darling”

。·:✧:· BREATHING DEEPLY, EMILIA put her hand over her chest, trying her best to stay as calm as possible. She hadn’t meant to scream, really, but she got scared far too easily. All she could hope was that the girl wouldn’t tease her about it. “Sorry. I’m not exactly good with storms and I swear I heard something in those woods. Usually I’m not too afraid of animals, but I have no idea what it was.” Emilia explained, turning her head back toward the woods, trying to search for the source of the sound.

he was on the ground, leaned against the wall that separated him from the kitchens. a passing house elf had handed him a basket of bread and rolls but wouldn’t let him in and he couldn’t remember if he’d ever known how to begin with. he was planning to eat the bread in its entirety and then head back to the common room when a barely familiar face showed up. her offer was intriguing, he just wanted to binge right now so he groaned as he stood up. “thanks, i uh— forgot how to — get in.” bad excuse but it was three in the morning and his brain was fuzzy with exhaustion and carb overload. as he followed her in he puzzled it over. “i know you, don’t i?”

。·:✧:· THE SMALL REDHEAD couldn’t help but chuckle. She knew the trick to get into the kitchen was silly and for that reason, quite a few people forgot how to do it. Emilia reached up to the door and tickled the pear. “You’ve just got to tickle the pear,” she stated, laughing again. Opening the door, she stood against it, gesturing for him to come into the kitchen. Lately, she’d found herself waking up to every single sound or light around her. As a result of that, she was in front of the kitchen, with a desperate craving to make blueberry muffins. When Emilia couldn’t sleep, she baked. It probably wasn’t a very good habit to have, but she quite liked it. Shrugging her shoulders, she looked him up and down. She’d definitely seen him around before. A Lestrange, if she remembered correctly. “It’s possible. I’m a little hard to miss with this hair. You’ve probably seen me around. I’m that girl that’ll tell you far too many facts you don’t need to know,” she stated, scrunching up her nose. Heading over to the cupboards, she pulled out all of the ingredients she’d needed. As she collected her bowls, she turned to him, “Can’t sleep?”

Playing a little with the edge of her hair, she sighed as she tried to focus on whatever it is the red head was saying but she would be a big far liar if she said that she was interested. Because clearly she wasn’t. Tilting her head to the side, she hummed. “Riveting” she teased.

。·:✧:· POUTING, EMILIA LOOKED up at the girl, wondering what she could say that might actually interest her. “Sorry, I get really excited about plants and animals,” the small redhead explained. Closing her book, she took a deep breath, trying her best to think of words that would make her seem cooler than some ridiculous girl obsessed with books and living things that not many others cared about. “What would you like to talk about instead? What interests you? Everyone’s got something,” Emilia explained, getting a little more excited as she talked. Perhaps she could find something to talk to her about!

andromeda’s scream follows right on the tail of the other girl’s, the piercing noise catching her off guard enough to scare her just as much as the darkness apparently scared emilia. “ i screamed because you screamed! ” she insists, bringing a hand up to press it over her heart where it races inside her ribcage. “ what are you doing out here when it’s about to rain? ” andie offers no explanation as to why she herself was triapsing through the grounds in the darkness, having been heading back to the slytherin common room after her shift of kneazle baby watch with professor kettleburn.

。·:✧:· EMILIA COULDN’T HELP the small laugh that left her mouth. She was most definitely being silly and probably should’ve have been outside alone with the sky looking like that. “Oh gosh, I’m sorry! I thought I heard something. I’m not good with strange noises,” she explained, hoping the girl wouldn’t judge her right now. “Are you okay though?” the small redhead asked, hoping it would all be alright. Shifting awkwardly, she twirled a strand of her hair, trying to remember the reason she came out here in the first place. “Well, I was sitting over by the lake with some small animals and I hadn’t looked up at the sky until it was too late. I tend to get distracted by cute things.” This was completely true. Emilia loved all animals and found herself spending far too much time with them and definitely got distracted by them.
