Hey, can I request the freak circus characters(poly or whatever you want to choose) with reader, who was the original owner of the circus? Like, reader was the one who accepted them into their circus and treated the characters kindly, making sure they were well fed and even found their monster forms beautiful. Maybe the cruel owner is reader's rotten business partner, who causes the following tragedies.
I had two ideas about this concept:
1 idea : reader refused the idea of having the characters locked up or treated unfairly, so their business partner secretly staged an accident, having reader killed, which then allowed the business owner to take over and do the terrible things to the characters. The characters assume reader is dead, but then some years later they find reader alive, having survived the accident but suffered from heavy amnesia.
2 idea : reader gets ambushed by their business partner, injured and then thrown in the cages with the characters, who were already starving. Reader offers themselves to feed them, having promised to take care of them and only asking them to take over and take the rotten owner down (saving Columbina too) . And then maybe years later, reader is like reborn and reunites with the circus characters.
Maybe two things that help the character regognize reader is that reader has prosthetics (both arms and legs, which made them once be rejected from society) and reader's first reaction of the characters is that reader finds them beautiful.
You can choose from these two options. Sorry if this is a bit long or odd. Feel free to ignore if this doesn't inspire you or follow your rules.

You were the owner of the circus that took them inβ¦ but you were different from other humansβ¦ you are kindβ¦ you took them in fed them treated them like actual beingsβ¦ even calling their monstrous forms beautifulβ¦
You were like a ray of light to themβ¦. The only good thing in this dark filthy world that sell them as nothing more than disgusting creatures for entertainmentβ¦. But you treated them like they matterβ¦. That is why they couldnβt stand that man.
The other human your business partner, they could see they clear disgust he had for them every time his eyes went in their directionβ¦ like they were filthy dangerous animals that needed to be locked upβ¦ they could smell the greed coming from him from miles awayβ¦ you always refuse never letting him hurt them or try to starve themβ¦
They didnβt really care about that human after all they had youβ¦. You took care of themβ¦ you fed themβ¦ you gave them your loveβ¦ that is all they asked forβ¦. Until it was gone.
That disgusting creature that even dared call itself human staged an accident getting you to leave the circus and hiring people to kidnap you and throw you into a riverβ¦ and they couldnβt do anything about it because he had already locked them upβ¦. The next thing they knew you were gone from their world.
That filthy, disgusting despicable thing taking your placeβ¦. Lock them up in cages like they were animalsβ¦. Using them for entertainment people laughing at their sufferingβ¦. Stopping to feed them so they would grow weakβ¦ and worst of all what he did to you oh they hated him
They were starved inside those cagesβ¦ so they really had no other choice if they wanted to surviveβ¦ we are so sorry Columbinaβ¦. But we promise to make your last wish come true and tear him to shredsβ¦. Well, they were already planning to do thatβ¦.
When they finally got out of those cages, finally got that human formβ¦. They tore him a limp from limbβ¦. Tore of his flesh ,broke his bones ,spilled his organsβ¦. They made sure he was begging for deathβ¦ but it felt empty
It felt empty becauseβ¦ no matter what they did to him it would not fix what happenedβ¦. It would not bring you backβ¦. You were the only light in this cold dark world that accepted themβ¦. Protected themβ¦. Loved themβ¦. And this bastard took you away from themβ¦. We will make sure to repay the favour tenfold.
The years pasted⦠they with their circus continued to move around and perform⦠after all it was the only thing they knew how to do⦠but by now everything feels hollow⦠after all by now they expect everything⦠the entertainment of humans while they watch Gore and suffering⦠how they are stared at with disgust when they walk in the street putting up flyers⦠it has all become so familiar by now

The same voiceβ¦. The same faceβ¦. Your Prosthetic limbsβ¦. And when youβre reach down reaching one of your prosthetic arms to help him get up, you saidβ¦
β wow youβre quite beautiful, such vibrant colours youβre adorable!ββ¦. It was exactly how you used to compliment him beforeβ¦.. it was youβ¦ his Lord/Ladyβ¦ his loveβ¦ his lightβ¦. He and the other others could finally meet you againβ¦.
But he also noticed something that wrecked himβ¦ you didnβt seem to remember himβ¦ or any of them for that matterβ¦ it felt like losing you all over againβ¦ But donβt worry My Lord/Lady we will make sure you remember us again, after all our love for you has not diedβ¦ but this time they really help for it to be much more~
As you see, I went with option 1. Iβm sorry if this was a little late or short for your liking you see when I was writing I accidentally forgot to save it so I needed to start all over again and a lot of inspiration was lost.
