“stop squirming.”
luffy whines as you press the bandaid to the small gash on his cheek. nothing too serious, if anything, you were honestly thankful he had gotten off with only minor bruises and cuts. most of them because he was being reckless as usual. you decided you’d just take care of them yourself and save your doctor some trouble as he was already very busy dealing with other injuries.
“hurts,” he pouts. it’s hard to take luffy serious when he gets like this. he goes from giving you chills, looking like a man during intense fights—and then right back to the silly boy your heart knows so well. pouting and whining at you with big brown eyes.
“should’ve thought about that before running head on into trouble, captain.” you respond. your thumb lingers against the bandaid on his cheek. you quickly pull away, clearing your throat. luffy doesn’t seem phased, as usual.
he leans in closer to you, grinning “but i looked cool, right ? you thought i looked cool ?”
“all done,” you pat his thighs quickly and turn away from him. luffy frowns slightly at you ignoring his question. he grumbles, “hrmmm..” a spoiled, whiny noise. you almost giggle but manage to hold it. you roll your eyes.
“yes, you looked super cool, captain. you always do.” he grins at that. swaying slightly with a giggle on his lips. the whiplash luffy was able to give was astonishing.
you’re in a pretty crowded haul, full of people recovering with your chef’s food or getting treated. it’s noisy, crowded—but pleasant. it’s even more pleasant when luffy’s around. it feels warmer, safer, familiar.
some people point in your direction, no doubt talking about your captain’s impressive feat from merely a few hours ago. surely, the people who hadn’t been there to witness his exploits had expected someone bigger, wider—more serious and stoned faced.
but never your captain. your stupid, silly boy, luffy. the same one with millions of millions of berries on his head.
“are they bothering you ?”
you snap out of your daze, realising you’d been zoning out staring at the strangers further away. they’d already turned away whistling, ashamed a being caught (and accidentally stared down) no doubt. you blink and whip back towards luffy who’s already blinking at you.
“oh—no, no ! i just started zoning out…” you explain, luffy hums wordlessly in response and you decide to keep it at that. if you’d told him you were just thinking he’d have asked what you were thinking about and you don’t think you would be able to handle having to explain that you were thinking about him.
luffy suddenly sighs out loud, leaning back on his palms “man, i’m sooooo hungry. should we go eat something ?”
“we ?” you snicker. he nods excitedly, smiling wider at your laughter. he’s already leaning closer again.
“yeah ! let’s go eat something.” he decides.
you look back at his plate of ‘snacks’ —which constisted of different kinds of meat, noodles and fruits— on the long table. he’d already devoured the whole plate but you knew your captain well enough to know that a single damn plate wouldn’t be enough for his black hole of a stomach.
you ask anyways, just because you feel like teasing “you seriously got room for more ?”
“i always got room for more.” he nods firmly. you laugh, and he laughs too.
“you’re unbelievable.” you sigh, shaking your head affectionately. luffy’s smile stays, but it softens. in that one way you’d started to be more familiar with just recently. it makes your heart pick up.
luffy doesn’t respond, instead he leans in—and kisses you.
muuuahh—! it’s a quick, closed mouth peck where you can still feel the smile on his face pressed against your lips as he takes yours away with him.
he pulls away quickly after. your mouth parts in shock and his eyes flicker down to it like he hadn’t just felt it a second ago. he grabs onto your shoulders quickly, like it’s instinct. you grab onto him, to stop him…maybe. either way, when luffy leans in again, taking your lips again, you don’t do much to push him away.
you don’t remember exactly when luffy had started kissing you. it felt strangely natural, like it was bound to happen. one day he’d started kissing your cheek a bit too often and you were too shocked and flustered to reprimand him for it. he’d started getting greedy and going for your mouth only recently though and you do remember that.
it was a late night campfire at some island you’d stopped at and ended up staying around to party with the locals. and somewhere in between the laughs and the drinks (mostly all drank by zoro) and the dancing on the beach luffy had slumped over next to you and grabbed your cheeks to smush his lips to yours. he’d acted like it was normal at the time and even after, saving you a seat next to him like usual during breakfast the very next day.
so you never said anything about it. luffy was strange to you in ways, you never knew what he was thinking, especially about things—feelings like this. you know he’s not stupid—you learn that you kiss people you really really like when you’re a child. but you never know what he thought.
luffy was someone who always felt harder than he thought—and you don’t know if he thinks about what he’s feeling for you much. would he be confused if you asked him what you meant to him ? would he not crave you like you craved him ? would he just want to stay in this strange little relationship because it was just more fun for him ?
(you knew luffy wasn’t heartless. but he was a man of feelings, and you felt way too much for him to just live by the whims of what his heart wants at the moment.)
“lu—luff,” you try to speak. luffy hasn’t pulled away yet, huffing through his nose to stay pressed to you longer. his grip on your shoulders tighten and when he leans back only to press his lips to yours again it makes a soft peck sound that makes you shiver and him whimper faintly. he leans into you more.
“wai—cap’—luffy !” you grip his shoulders, nudging and pushing and he finally leans back just a bit, he listens. eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“you don’t wanna ?” he heaves, breath heavy against your face.
you do wanna. oh, you do. but you start getting nervous of the glances you’re getting, some people are even giggling. not maliciously you assume, but still embarrassing.
“p-people are watching…” you respond. luffy, still confused, looks towards where you were glancing at. he glares a little and the people who had been looking quickly turn away, startled.
he turns towards you again “so they were bothering you.” he frowns.
“no ! no that’s not—they weren’t bothering me.”
“good, they won’t bother you anymore.” he says, already leaning in again. a startled sound gets clogged in your throat and you turn your head away so luffy misses and his lips press to the corner of your mouth instead. he doesn’t give up of course, huffing while he tries to win his prize.
you’re sure you look a couple of idiots with you spinning your head around and luffy spinning his to catch you with lips outstretched. you’re sure your crewmates would have laughed themselves to tears at the display, but luffy had the ability to make you forget everything but him when he was close to you like this.
“lemme kiss ya…” he whines petulantly. he resorts to grabbing your face and smushing your cheeks, like that night. you grab his wrists. not pushing, not stopping. but you grip tight enough where luffy knows it’s not a game anymore. he leans back, eyes wide, not far enough for you but far enough for him.
“why are ya mad ? did i do somethin’ ?” luffy bumps his nose to yours, he won’t kiss you ‘cus you asked “m’sorry i was reckless. won’t do it—be more careful, swear.”
“liar.” you snort, you can’t will yourself to let go of his wrist. you know he won’t be careful and you know he’ll do it again, despite it all you like him just like that. you don’t think you could stop.
“i’m not mad,” you start, your thumb rubs the little bone on his wrist “but we shouldn’t just be doing this, luffy.”
he tilts his head “why not ?”
“‘cus were not—together like that.” you force out.
luffy lets out an shocked hah ? “like what ? i thought we were together—we gotta be together another way to kiss ?” he asks.
you blink. he waits.
“we’re not together, luffy.”
“we are.”
…huh ?
“…are we ?”
“yeah.”
you jump at how easy, how quickly he responds. like it was something you should’ve known. he even adds an “you doin’ okay ?” when you don’t respond.
“but you—you never asked me out or anything.”
“ask you out for what ? to eat ?”
“you never asked me to be together with you.” you explain. luffy’s mouth forms an ‘oh’ shape, his eyebrows raise.
“ooooooh—musta forgot !” he responds cheerfully “ but you know i like you, yeah ?”
there should be absolutely no reason you wouldn’t have known he liked you. if it weren’t for his behaviour towards you, it would’ve been with all of your friends telling you to wake up because he was “clearly into you”.
(even strangers would tell you you were a lovely couple, or refer to him as your boyfriend when talking to you. you didn’t bother correcting them because none of your crew mates would let you when they were around.)
“i…i don’t know what i thought.” you say, almost to yourself. this was giving you a headache. the headache in question laughs gleefully,
“you’re so silly.” he hums. you’re about to respond when he stops you, leaning close again. “can i kiss you now ? i really like it. i wanna hold you when i do.” he says bluntly. “we can be together if you wanna.”
you shake your head at his antics. as you thought, being together with luffy was a whole other experience, but he wasn’t as confused as you thought.
“yeah. yeah, i wanna be together.” you smile. luffy grins like the sun. you let go of his wrists and he grabs your hands to intertwine your fingers together sweetly, he runs your knuckles over his lips.
“missed you. during the fight, i mean.”
“if you really miss me, you’ll finish it faster next time.” you tease, squeezing his hands.
“i will !” he chuckles. he mouths at your knuckles causing you to groan. he giggles again like he can’t help himself and pulls you to him.
“don’t stop me this time, kay ? wanna really feel you.” he whispers.
you feel your face burn. luffy's ability to give you whiplash needed to be studied.
“wait—shouldn’t we go somewhere else ? people can see us here...” you mumble, embarrassed.
“oh, yeah. i don’t care.”

a thought pops into your head “thought you were hungry.” you tease.

You tried acting busy, going to the weather app for some reason.

Deciding to leave, you run into Senor Hueso once again. "Thank you for the delicious food Senor." You thank politely.
"Honored you loved it." He almost smiled at you. He turned to Leo. Whispering, "I'm proud of you, you chose a good one."
Leo was in the verge of tears, Senor Hueso raised an eyebrow in confusion, "I'M NOT CRYING." He said while hugging him balling in tears. Also bringing you in the hug with his other arm.

However she's much introvert and reserved in a sense that she wouldn't show her power/strength until when exactly needed like saving the turtles or defeating some enemies when the turtles aren't looking? I just want to see some dynamic of the turtles would react not knowing that reader is stronger than a freaking missile, lifting them up when she was helping them avoid the missile but wouldn't show her power unless necessary. A/N: Finally got around to do this one! I decided to have a little fun and write it from the other’s perspective, just to try something a little different. I had a hard time doing it so Leo actually spelled it out to the reader, so I decided to focus on the wingman aspect of your request. I started to get a little bit of a writer's block towards the end, but I really wanted to get this finished for you💙 Hope you’ll enjoy anyway💙

“Is she blind or something?”, Raph whispered in utter disbelief, watching you and Leo on the couch from his and Donnie’s hiding spot behind a pillar, their eyes following the movements of the two of you as you casually talked. Well, you at least seemed casual. Leo on the other hand looked like a love lost puppy, with practically bright pink hearts for eyes and a dreamy smile smeared over his face, as he listened to you talk. “I mean, look at him. He follows her around like a lost puppy! How has she not noticed?!”
“It’s (Y/N) we’re talking about, Raph”, Donnie reminded his brother. “This is the same girl that literally has been oblivious to Leo’s crush for years now. Have you forgotten the time Leo thought he had asked her out on a date, but then she brought April along, thinking it was a casual get together?”
“Don’t remind me”, Raph mumbled. “He was a sighing mess for two weeks, and he really wanted me to ask about it”.
“Did you ask him about it?”, Donnie questioned, raising a brow muscle.
“Of course not”, Raph said, neither he nor Donnie noticing the orange clad bundle of joy, silently making his way to his brothers from behind. “If I ask about it once, he will expect me to ask about it again another day”.
“What are we talking about?”, Mikey’s voice suddenly sounded behind the two brothers, causing them to do a little jump in surprise. So much for being a ninja, and you can’t even hear your little brother casually walking up behind you.
“Leo and (Y/N)”, Donnie said, sparing Raph from the madness. “They are talking, but (Y/N) is still as oblivious as always”.
“You’re joking”, Mikey said in disbelief, peeking out from his brothers’ hiding spot, to see the scene unfolding on the couch. He could practically hear Leo’s heart beat in his chest as you spoke, his hands fiddling with themselves in an effort to keep himself calm. Damn, he was struck hard.
“How long have they been sitting there?”, Mikey asked.
“An hour or two”, Raph answered. “And nothing has happened, other than Leo looking like an absolute fool”.
“We have to do something”, Mikey said, suddenly sounding like a man on a mission, making Raph’s eyes widen in fear for what his little brother may have had in mind. Donnie on the other hand just seemed sceptical.
“There’s not much we can do”, Donnie said, placing his hands on his hips. “Leo has specifically asked us not to let (Y/N) know, and so far he doesn’t seem like he’s ready to tell her”.
“Nobody has to tell anybody anything”, Mikey smiled, already having an idea in mind. “We just have to set the mood”.
“And how are we supposed to do that?”, Raph asked, crossing his arms, seeming not the least bit convinced by Mikey’s words. “We live in a sewer, for crying out loud”.
With a smile Mikey turned to his brother in red, before wiggling his brow muscles. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”, was all he said, before slipping out of his brothers’ hiding spot, making his way across the room, heading straight for the kitchen.
Watching in confusion and curiosity, Donnie and Raph’s eyes followed Mikey as he made his way through the living area, past you and Leo. You, only seeming lightly aware of Mikey’s presence in the room, and Leo focused on nothing else but you.
It didn’t take long before Mikey came back from the kitchen, with a pack of chocolate in his hand. With a small skip in his step, Mikey made his way towards the couch, before taking a seat next to Leo on the opposite side of you, causing the older turtle to shoot him an annoyed look. The last thing Leo wanted right now, was for his brothers to ruin what small moments he got to spend alone with you.
“So”, Mikey said, opening the pack of chocolate in his hands. “How are you two doing today?” Out of the corner of his eye, Mikey could see both Raph and Donnie facepalm. But they did not know what Mikey had planned, and therefore Mikey was comfortable in his actions.
“We’re good, Mikey”, you smiled, not noticing the daggers Leo was staring at his youngest brother. “What about you?”
“Oh, I’m good”, Mikey smiled, holding up the chocolate. “Just about to enjoy myself a treat”.
“Mikey”, Leo suddenly said, almost in a warning tone, trying to find a reason to get Mikey away from the main living area, so he could be alone with you again. “Didn’t you have that thing to do in your room?”
“What thing?”, Mikey asked, acting like he had no clue what Leo was talking about. But he knew exactly what Leo was trying to do.
“That thing you talked about earlier today”, Leo said, giving his brother a warning look.
“Oh!”, Mikey suddenly exclaimed, acting like Leo had reminded him of something. “You’re right! That thing!”
Mikey quickly got up from the couch, before springing towards his room, and the pillar Raph and Donnie still stood hiding behind. You and Leo giggled at each other, when you saw that Mikey had left his chocolate behind, however neither of you seemed to notice how the orange clad turtle still had the TV remote in his hand as he left.
“How is that going to set the mood?”, Raph whispered in a harsh voice, wondering if Mikey had lost his mind.
“Have faith in me brotha”, Mikey said, dingling the TV remote in front of his face. “I know what I’m doing”.
Frowning with confusion, Donnie and Raph watched as Mikey made his way over to the light switch, before turning it off. That caused a small startled sound from you, followed by small laughs from both you and Leo, saying something along the lines of it probably just behind his brothers pulling a prank of sorts. Much to both Raph and Donnie’s surprise, Leo suddenly seemed much less nervous, his laugh actually sounding somewhat confident.
With a big smile plastered over his face, Mikey made his way back to the pillar, giving his brothers a wink. “Now watch this”. With the TV remote in hand, Mikey pressed the on button, then sudden light from the TV filled you and Leo’s field of view, causing the two of you to jump in surprise, followed by the two of you laughing once more from your sudden shock.
“Now”, Mikey said, crossing his arms. “We just let the magic play out”.
“What magic?”, Raph asked, still not convinced.
“I think he’s talking about that magic”, Donnie said, pointing to you and Leo who had scooted closer to each other, so you had an easier time sharing the chocolate.
“I don’t believe it”, Raph mumbled, mouth open in disbelief, as you suddenly, for once looked at Leo with a hint of what he had been looking at you with.
“What is playing anyway?”, Donnie asked, honestly impressed with what he saw.
“Just that romantic series everyone is talking about”, Mikey said. “There’s a marathon tonight, so those two will have plenty of time to figure things out”.
“B- but”, Raph stammered, still not truly able to believe what was going on. “How did you know it would work? How did you know that was playing tonight?”
Mikey shrugged his shoulders with a small smile. “I got my secrets”.
“Secrets my shell”, Raph snarred. “How did you know?”
“Guys…”, Donnie said, trying to get his brothers’ attention so they could see how the scene on the couch was evolving.
“I can’t tell you all of my secrets”, Mikey said with a shrug, enjoying how it seemed to annoy Raph.
“You little-”.
“Guys!”, Donnie whispered more harshly, finally gaining the arguing turtles attention. “Look!”, he said, pointing towards you and Leo, who now sat on the couch with your arms loosely draped around each other, and your lips connected in a soft and sweet kiss.

Hi. I just stumbled upon your page and loved the Rise! Turtles x Dark Knight Reader! If possible, is it okay for me to request TMNT2012! X Older Sibling Reader, where during Master Splinter was still taking care of the turtle tots reader was just a quiet kid when he found her in the sewer, took her as part of the family and she also helped took care of the turtles since she was a few years older. The rest continued as usual until the turtles were big enough. Reader being the supportive sibling but still strict when it comes to their safety. Very disciplined when it comes to learning martial arts. The turtles admired her strength and courage. Didn't become a full time kunoichi because she still an online college student. For some damn reason, this had never been something you never unraveled. Even with your clever instincts and intelligence level, you'd always been the odd one out. So, with your intelligence, you've done the only thing to do in your spare time.
Observing others. Analyzing the person of interest as if you'd been assigned to them by a federal organization. No. You were simply fascinated.
Some part of you knew, this was cruel and unnerving. You figured if they don't know, it wouldn't hurt them. Weird thinking for an incredibly clever individual. But things have always been hard for others to understand.
This strange habbit only escalated when you've seen the turtle in blue. Who you learned his name, Leonardo Hamato. You done some research to better understand.
First, seeing him at night, when you were walking back him. Then you heard his adorable voice. He was so leading and organized. He seemed like the most logical one.
"Come on guys, we have to be stealth ninjas. Ninjas are quiet and listen to their leader."
Obvious his brothers don't pay much attention or care for his leadership. Other mutant turtles. Who you soon learned are named, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo.
You wanted to understand him, figure him out. To know every single thing about him, and him not know a single thing about you. It was better than way, a way you couldn't be hurt. It was better.
During this time, you began to keep a journal (GF anyone??) all about him. Everything about him you could find on your own. You wrote it down. His eye color, what he is, favorite color, height, prefered weapon, personality type, speed, stamina, strength, what he watches, ect.
