rewatched the tadc finale at home and without the theatre of teens screaming over every line of dialogue i can confidently say i still think the writing was shit from a butt

#it was beautifully animated and the music was nice as always #but for me the finale was such a massive fucking letdown #i really enjoyed the series despite its quirks because it felt like it was going somewhere #turns out it really wasn't going anywhere at all #it repeated itself over and over again and in the end none of it even really mattered because nothing actually happened #with the exception of Gangle i would say the characters are pretty much all the same by the end of the show as they were at the start #unless you count unnatural character progression from characters like Caine where he just physically removed his personality issues #idk i'm just so fed up with poor writing in really interesting concepts #but the second you voice a negative opinion people love to throw around the phrase “media literacy”#my media literacy is fine. it's how i know the writing was bad #anyway. anyway.#onto better things i guess
