I recently skimmed through the Athena comic again and was pleasantly reminded (if there's such a thing with that topic, haha!) of your use of post-partum depression for Hera and how it culminates in her reaction to and action against Hephaistos. I really liked it, for it's both something that happens to women, a sympathetic and realistic reason while not absolving Hera of literally throwing her newborn son off Olympus, tying divine exaggeration into real-world issues!

Thank you! I try to make my version of the Greek gods as somewhat realistic and relatable, while still keeping a lot of the crazy shit that they did in the myths. Of course, to expose unwanted or "defect" children was not uncommon in ancient Greece, but to throw your newborn baby down into the sea just because he was born lame, really seems quite heartless. So I added that Hera was suffering from a postpartum depression (or I think it's actually postpartum psychosis in this case) to "soften" it a little bit. And I always like to bring in real-world issues when it feels like it works.
