ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE IN THE GERMAN QUEER/TRANSFEM COMMUNITY, COSPLAYERS, HELLAVERSE FANS, OTAKU, PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA FANS, AND PEOPLE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE DOKOMI CONVENTION IN DÜSSELDORF IN LATE MAY OF 2026!!!

On the 2nd of June 2026, a body has been pulled out from the Ren river at Rheinkilometer 694, near the city of Cologne. This person remains unidentified to this day; Please take a look at the details posted under the read more to see more info about them.
It's possible that the person in question was a transgender woman, transfem, genderqueer, non-binary etc, but there's nothing to point towards a specific identity. The person was allegedly found wearing a cosplay (possibly of Homura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica), so it's also possible that they were doing crossplay.
There was an anime convention called dokomi in Düsseldorf at the end of May, and it's possible that Doe took part in it, or in any associated events such as non-official fan meetings. Anyone who took part in that convention or knows someone who did is encouraged to look at the details- perhaps you talked to them or saw them at an event or a panel.
The cause of death is currently unknown or unreleased.
Due to the sensitive nature of this case and the fact that there are somewhat graphic photos included in one of the links, I decided to put the details under a cut
The person is 180 cm (~71 inch) and is described as "thin". They have a lot of healed self-harm scars on their thighs and upper arms.
They have brown eyes and long, brown hair. Their nails are described as "done", mening that they were well-maintained and most likely painted.
They were wearing two jackets (beige and black), a t-shirt with an unspecified manga character, a short skirt with a white belt, black leggings, a silver-colored ring and red earrings. It's possible that they were wearing the top part of the uniform worn by Homura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but that's what's been estimated based on photos- it's possible that this is what the "beige jacket" is.
They also had multiple tattoos, which were identified as:
- Alastor from the "Hazbin Hotel" series
- A character from the "Missing Halloween" animated online short
- A grief seed from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series
- A sword from the Sailor Moon series
- Meroko from the "Full Moon wa sagashite" series
- A heart and two characters on their face
Here is the official site of the Cologne police for this person, with contact info on the bottom of the page. The site features photos of their tattoos (photos 2-5). The first photo shows the deceased's face shortly after they've been pulled from the river- of course, it's a photo of a body, so please only look at it if you can handle it and only if you're an adult. There is no heavy decomposition of graphic wounds, but like I said, it's clearly a photo of a body that has been in water for a few days.
