writing is all fun and games until the scene requires a location
Posting my shitty art to promote my shitty story because why not
So this is the After Hours cover art. I had no plans going into it except that I wanted to include the Bride somewhere in the background. Don't look at my shitty bushes.
Here's some art of two minor characters that I drew because I was bored. Genuinely, I don't know why I drew these two characters specifically—one doesn't even make it to the haunted house and the other is our FMC's super repressed rival/situationship. Actually discard that last descriptor—it applies to both of them.
And here's Abigail, who is currently being possessed by the MMC's mom with the help of an ancient ritual knife. This is a cool and normal thing that happens. Don't worry, she gets better.
Duh-duh-da-duh! Here comes the Bride!
Ah, I'm hilarious. Anyways, here's a corpse that is affectionately known for her marriage with the actual devil, rather than her many meaningful accomplishments like murder and her luscious, flowing locks that have been used to choke at least one guy to death. Technically the image is inaccurate because she's supposed to be climbing along the ceiling like an evil Spider-Man, but I think it looks better this way. Totally not because I wasn't bothered to draw it upside-down and now it looks weird when I flip it.
Well, that's your introduction to After Hours. Feel free to scroll past and ignore this post I won't feel bad at all 👀

The worst part about writing is that sometimes you actually have to write.
The best part about writing is also that sometimes you have to write.
I will not elaborate further.
I didn't think my story would work well as a traditionally published work, because it's like an anthology with shorter individual works and like a bajillion planned installments, so I decided why not just serialise my story by publishing it on websites like Wattpad or Inkitt? Anyways that was probably a terrible idea because I don't understand social media on a good day, and I know nothing about formatting for websites and shit like that.
Then I realised that just hitting publish and waiting for a miracle is stupid, so obviously the next step is to create accounts on Tiktok and Instagram and try and grow my story's audience there.
I forgot that I hate both Tiktok and Instagram, and I don't have the self-esteem it takes to get eviscerated on Reddit, so why not make a Tumblr (which, prior to this, I'd interact with solely through Pinterest reposts), where I have full control of my own blog and post whatever the fuck I want?
Anyways, my story is an anthology of horror works named Sympathy for the Wicked. The first installment, which is in the process of being published, is called After Hours and follows a bunch of stupid teenagers who do intelligent things like get murdered by soulless, walking corpse-women and break into abandoned houses to piss off the evil best-friend you're too repressed to realise you're in love with.
There's also, like, vampires and witches hanging around, but honestly they're like a three on the scale of this place.
Oh I should probably include an actual description, huh? I hate writing descriptions, so you get the copy-pasted version from Wattpad that I took a ridiculously long time to write and still am not happy with.
- This is all your fault. Sorry, but it is. Things didn't have to turn out this way. We could've found another way. Instead, you... Ah, jeez. There's really no point in getting mad at you, is there? Not when you aren't here to defend yourself. We thought... well, the others think this plan is like a million to one. That it won't work, and I... you know I can't accept that. Not after everything that's happened. So I'm here to tell you a story. To bare my soul. Maybe fix you enough that I can punch you across your stupid face and not feel bad for doing it. This story... really, you know this story already, but I'd like to tell it again. It's something of an old story-one that began before you or I were ever born. A tragic comedy, where evil reigns as king and queens seek only ruin. You might think it a story of love, or hate and horror, but in truth, this story is far simpler than that. It is the story of the greatest fool ever born and how she managed to destroy the world. - After fighting with her best friend, Mia Granger learns that not only has she been disinvited from her birthday party, but the entire plan has changed! Because she's a petty and evil person, her ex-best friend Billie Resting has decided to host her Sweet Sixteen at the abandoned Covenant House, completely ruining all the plans Mia had made! Not to mention that Billie is a boy-stealing backstabber! Well! Mia won't stand for this! She's crashing that party and damn anyone who says otherwise. - Finn's cousin is kind of weird. He's not too caught up on the details, but apparently she got into a fight with her best friend so now he has to supply booze for a party in some creepy abandoned house his uncle owns? Well, it's whatever. He's getting a thousand Knights out of the deal and it's not like he hasn't got his own friend to keep him company. As long as his survivalist, knife-wielding, classmate-possessing mom doesn't show up again, Finn thinks this party might actually turn out well.
I also drew a cover because apparently that's an important thing to have. Honestly, I'm pretty damn proud of it because for the first, like, fifteen years of my life, 'bad-at-art' was my defining character trait. That and being generally depressed.

Hey, your story sounds cool and interesting and I'd love to read it! I'm going to go look it up, but wanted to let you know it looks like you've forgotten to link to it in your post :)
man I didn't even think about that lol
