memphisfckâ:
Memphis stared at Elliot throughout his entire ramblings, her mind almost immediately gravitating to her own thoughts, as opposed to actually listening to what the male was saying. She had spent enough time with him to know when she needed to listen to him, and when it wasnât all that important; this time was one of the former. It took her a few seconds to realize when he stopped talking and she shook her head a bit, clearing her thoughts so she could focus on him again. âI gotta be honestââ she began, a small smile curling the edge of her lips, âI zoned out at piratesâŚâ She sighed as she laid back in her chair, closing her eyes as she draped an arm above her head and over the top of the headrest. âThatâs what I really need to spice up this trip. Some hot ass pirate coming here and sweeping me off my feet like one of those cheesy fucking romance novels.â
Elliot waved his arms around sporadically as Memphis seemed to only be thinking about the pirateâs appearances. âMemphis no focus! They wouldnât be good sexy pirates, theyâd be super evil and mean pirates! Do not let yourself be fooled and deceived by their charm! ...Although to be honest, I always wanted to go on some weird ocean pirate adventure. Do you think theyâd accept me? Like what if I can make them nice and friendly? And then we can just be pirates together! But like instead of stealing treasure and spreading panic, weâd be stealing negativity and spreading happiness and love!âÂ

calliope found herself enjoying the ocean breeze as she walked the shoreline. it brought her back to a place of nostalgia, she always found happiness in the beach. there was something soothing about the water, how you could just get washed away, like the sand castles she used to build. coming across what looked to be a person drowning in the shallows, but before she could ask, elliot popped his head up, and a smile found its way to her face, âever thought of scuba diving?â she teased, gesturing at his previous position, wondering what it was he was doing, prompting herself beside him in the sand, âyou look like itâ she nodded, âyeah, i love the beach, the waterâs gorgeous, and iâve eaten my weight in the islandâs fruitsâ
âOh that sounds fun! But no, I- havenât really given that activity much thought. Why, do you like it? Exploring the depths of the ocean?â Elliot asked, rolling over on his back to feel the warm sun on his face. He still extended both of his arms behind him so he could feel the waves. âOh yeah the fruit is super fantastically delicious!â Elliot agreed. âI had a super epic water balloon fight, too so that was amazing! And the sun is gracing us with itâs magnificence! And I bet the sky is the perfect shade of blue! And the water is just the right temperature! And everything is just-- paradise.âÂ
reellykenzieâ:
âSure, because I always carry a cape around with me wherever I go, especially to the beach,â she said sarcastically. âThatâs what photoshop is for! I can edit you to look even more kingly.â Well, it wouldnât be perfect, but she could try at least. âNo you couldnât! No, Iâm not like that. Or at least I try not to be.â
âI donât know why you wouldnât, capes can be very useful, Kenzie.â Elliot informed seriously- or as serious as he could be... which apparently wasnât very since he couldnât stop smiling. He took off his sunglasses, slipped them in his pocket, and posed for Kenzie to take the picture. He just figured it wouldnât be very kingly to be wearing tacky sunglasses. âNah, youâre not. You do a good job in-- succeeding not to be like that. But anyway, you wanted to swim, and I completely held you back! You can swim if you want! I donât mind. I can get close to the water and shout so we can still talk if you want.âÂ
kenziewexâ:
Slowly she brought her drink away from her mouth and set it down on the bar in front of them. ââOrange  juice?â Her brows raised curiously as she turned her body further to fully face the male by her side. ââJust orange juice? Nothing in it?â  Mackenzie was not an alcoholic by any means, but it was vacation so she didnât see a reason not to start drinking in the morning. âI do have to agree with you though, everything does seem to be a little better here, doesnât it?â This question was rhetorical. ââIâm Mackenzie by the wayâŚI donât think weâve met before, at least not formally,âÂ
âYupperz! Orange juice! Not apple juice... I was tempted to go with that, but-- decided that citrus was what I was feeling. Nothing in it except for the pure goodness of orange juice!â Elliot answered with a wide grin. âIâm Elliot. Nice to meet you Mackenzie!â His mind couldnât help but drift to his friend with the similar name. âIs Mackenzie fine? Or do you have any nicknames or anything that youâd prefer to be called?â

At first, Finley was a little frightened by the body in the distance. As he got closer, he realized who it was and got a little more worried before he heard the refreshing sound of Elliotâs voice. âWhat are you doing out here? Just dipping your hands in?â He questioned continuing closer.Â
âYou betcha!â Elliot said, keeping his head lifted up off the ground... he didnât realize how uncomfortable sand could really be against the skin. âI didnât want to go swimming, but I still wanted to get the full island experience, you know?â
jeon-alexâ:
The balloon managed to hit Alex right in the stomach, causing him to bend over and let out a little âoof.â Still, he straightened up, picking up a balloon and throwing it in Elliotâs direction. âYour aim. Havenât hit me above the chest, yet. Iâm not giving in until you get a solid hit to the head.â
Elliot could feel his confidence growing with each time he heard noises indicating that he somehow hit his opponent. Whether he was actually far more skillful than he thought, or if it was just dumb luck he wasnât sure-- but it was exciting. Although clearly he was getting a bit too cocky since he didnât even anticipate Alexâs next attack at all, and he felt the water balloon hit his shoulder, making a big splash as it hit him. He stumbled back a bit, but snapped back into game mode as he heard Alexâs trash talk. Elliot dove to grab another balloon and quickly threw it in the direction of his voice, aiming a bit higher than before. His margin of error was significantly smaller since anyoneâs head was so much smaller... but if he wanted to win, he had to take chances.Â
mianoclleâ:
âGood,â Mia responded. Not like she thought he was dead, though in a place like this, where alcohol, drugs and water could be mixed up, wouldnât be exactly a surprise. âYou know, the waves may come back stronger than beforeâ had you fallen asleep, you couldâve easily drown. Or you know, drink sea water. Which, wouldnât have been nice.â Mia sighed and sat down next to Elliot. âIâm alright. The sun is way more mild than it was earlier. I can finally come out of my hiding spot.â
Elliot frowned a bit as she made her very logical warning. The thought of drowning always spooked him out... It wasnât that he was afraid of water, obviously-- but his motherâs fear definitely rubbed off on him just a little bit. Elliot sighed and backed a way a little, opting to just sit and feel the water on his finger tips as it came. âWhat was your hiding spot? Did you make it? Like did you make a fort out of leaves and stuff?âÂ
parkmin--seoâ:
âExactly! And the only way to reverse it is to stay away from the water, but itâs just so inviting! The water knows what itâs doing and we fall for it every time.â She joked, as she mimicked his actions of splashing the water. A softer smile formed on her lips at his next words, and she almost opened her mouth to say that she felt the same way whenever she was around him, but he was scooting forward before she could say anything. She giggled as she watched him, moving forward herself in just enough time for her hair to get hit with the water. âI think the water wanted to say hello.â She joked, laughing.Â
Elliot laughed at her saying that the water just wanted to say hello. âHello water!!â Elliot exclaimed, this time lifting himself up to his feet. He was standing in the same spot, so the water still came in and splashed his feet and ankles... and it was his own mistake for wearing sneakers and fun socks-- but theyâd dry out... eventually. âDid you ever jump in puddles as a kid?â He asked Minnie. âI bet it could be fun to like-- jump on the wave. What do you think? Like perfectly time your jump so that you make a big splash as the tide comes in?âÂ
jeon-alexâ:
âReally now?â The balloon actually hit Alexâs thigh,  and he made a little noise of surprise - to be honest, heâd doubted slightly in Elliotâs ability to put up a good fight, but this meant war. Running over to pick up another balloon, he focussed on his aim better this time as he threw the balloon at Elliot. âDidnât expect your aim to be that shit, yeah.â
âYeah really. Surrender yet?â He asked teasingly. Elliotâs smile widened as he heard the surprised noise from Alex. His strategy worked, it had seemed. He felt a jolt of empowering energy surge through him. The game was on. He heard hurried footsteps over to where the bucket would be, meaning he had to expect a throw soon. He was still just jumping around in random motions, hoping heâd just be able to be a difficult moving target to keep- but he also wanted to try to be somewhat strategic. always keeping his ear out for any clues where the balloon would come from and how he could dodge what he couldnât see. Just out of pure instinct, Elliot leaped to his left and summersaulted on the ground to land and heard something splash next to him, feeling just a few drops hit him from the impact. âIâm sorry, whoâs aim is so shit, again?â He asked, throwing his own balloon forward.Â

Elliotâs excitement was infectious, as always, and she let out a delighted laugh as he splashed the water. She felt some of it hit her, but it was refreshing and she didnât mind, because she was soaked already anyway from all of the swimming. âUm⌠I think? Actually, I have no idea, because Iâve never spent that much time in the water before, but Iâm not willing to risk it. I donât want to walk around looking all wrinkle-y and weird.â She joked, more laughter spilling from her lips. Though, she was already embarrassed enough wearing a bikini; she didnât really want to make it worse by looking like a prune. âAmazing company? Well, Iâm flattered, but letâs be honest, Iâm the one who is blessed to be in yours! So thank you! Ooh, Iâm all for living on the edge! Iâll edge closer with you!âÂ
âItâs like the water is like-- an aging mechanism and the more you stay in the water, the older you get!â Elliot made a few more splashes as the tide came in. âMinnie, stop. Spending time with you always makes my day better.â Though his tone was still light and chipper, he hadnât expected to say something so truthful and almost serious. But before he gave her time for a response, he crawled a bit forward and went back to laying flat on the now mostly wet sand. When the tide came in this time, it ran up his hands, arms, and even got some of his hair wet. âWhoa nelly!â Elliot said, shaking his head a bit to get ride of the excess water. Â
reellykenzieâ:
âThe way you are right now is good, with your hand on your chin and thinking deeply. I think you could never be the evil king type. You built this entire land with your bare hands! Youâre the kindest king ever!â She giggled a little, preparing to take the picture. âNot really. People just focus on themselves a lot of the time and not other people. People can be awful, but not everyone is like that and that is the important part.â
âOh okay-- Wait! Do you have a cape or something? Like a robe? Thatâs a king thing, right?â Elliot asked. When she delivered the clear compliment Elliot gasped and placed his hand over his heart. âWha- I could be evil!â He protested, just joking around. âOh. Thatâs a bummer... but youâre not like that! Which is why weâre such good pals, right?âÂ
jeon-alexâ:
âWhat cowards,â he agreed. âOh youâve been training? My whole life has been devoted to the art of water balloon fights.â Alex picked up a balloon, although he didnât make as much effort to move around as Elliot did. It was in his interests for the fight to end early, after all - why make too much effort? Throwing the balloon, he made a face when it only hit Elliotâs foot. âThought Iâd spare you this time,â he muttered. âYouâre welcome.â
âOh really? Well then your whole life will soon come tumbling down as a novice defeats you!â Elliot responded. Just as he was jumping around, he felt the splash at his foot. Quickly, he based his throw on where the balloon made contact with his foot as well as where he heard the mutter, and gave it his best shot, throwing the balloon and hoping it was anywhere near Alex. âBet you didnât expect that huh?â He asked, talking it up even when he didnât even know if he hit Alex or not. Before Alex could respond, Elliot ran forward and slid to the ground, stopping himself as he felt the bucket against his hand. He raised his hand to grab another balloon and quickly escaped back by rolling over multiple times.Â
reellykenzieâ:
She laughed, turning her camera towards Elliot. âGive me your most kingly pose!â Kenzie would definitely find out if it was possible to print her pictures that way so Elliot could enjoy them too. And if not, she would find a way to make it possible. âI mean, itâs not like there is a choice. Itâs just all the ambient light of the city that blocks out the light from the stars. And most people donât pay that much attention to the sky. Theyâre too focused on their phones or things right in front of them,â she explained.
âUmm-- oh gosh, um-â Elliot stood up and tried to channel his inner king, but he was feeling at a loss. âKenzie help! I donât know any kingly poses! And whatkind of king should I be? Should I be the kind that executes everyone? And be all like mwah-ha-ha-ha!! Or should I be a nice king who bakes and picks nice flowers? Hmmm...â He raised his hand to his chin and pondered deeply about it. Elliot frowned just a bit at the explanation that people didnât even pay attention to the sky. All that Kenzie described it to be felt like it was so beautiful and magical... how could you look away from something so magnificent? âI guess thatâs good too though... means they donât walk into stuff when theyâre looking at whatâs in front of them, right?âÂ
Mackenzie always came prepared. She was one to get into mischief, so she could never be too careful when I came to setting herself up for success. As she looked at herself in the mirror even she could admit the wig was a little much, but it helped her confidence to sell the idea that she was not a high schooler, but in fact old enough to have a couple of drinks at the bar. With the blonde wig secured on top of her head she left the confines of her room and made her way to the lobby. Once sat at a barstool she looked around for signs of trouble before confidently ordering herself a vodka cranberry. ââFancy seeing you here,â her eyebrow lifted as she turned to the person who had taken a seat next to her. ââWhat are you drinking?â
@luxorstartersâ
Elliot paused, waiting to hear a response from anyone else since he wasnât completely sure she was talking to him. However after a couple of seconds of silence, he figured it was safe to answer. âOrange juice!â He revealed with a wide smile. âItâs really good. Definitely the best orange juice Iâve ever had. Which makes sense since like- everything here is the best version of everything. The best sun, the best air, the best weather, the best all around!âÂ

Minnie had been in and out of the water the entirety of the day, and had decided to take it to the next level and venture toward the ocean. The pool was great, but nothing quite beat the ocean. She was edging closer to the water when she noticed Elliot, and a bright grin formed on her lips as she approached him. âElliot!â she exclaimed excitedly, a laugh falling from her lips as she listened to him. âLiking it? Iâm loving it! Although, I think Iâm going to turn into a prune soon if I donât quit jumping into the water every five seconds,â she joked. âI was about to jump into the ocean, but I think Iâll join you, if you donât mind.â She said, though she didnât wait for a response before laying down herself, perfectly aware that she was going to get dirty, but not caring because she could always wash off with the water later.Â
âMinnie!!â Elliot cried out happily, splashing the ocean water with his hands to further display his excitement to hear his friendâs voice. âOh gee my bad!â He said with a laugh, realizing his grave error of his choice of words. âWait really? I remember my hands would get all shriveled up and wrinkly after being in the water for a while, but is that like- a whole body thing too?â He asked curiously. âI could never mind! I mean like- not nevermind like not-- not that, but like- I can never say no to you gracing me with your amazing company! Howâs that? But anyway yes please! Join me! I might edge closer soon because Iâm just in that living on the edge kind of mood!âÂ
reellykenzieâ:
âI think we need a distinguished photo of the founder of this kingdom. You should do something⌠royal. As the king of Elliotopia, we need a royal portrait of the creator and ruler of this magnificent land,â she declared with a laugh, shifting a bit to get a good angle of him for the picture. âHey, do you know if they do braille portraits? Like, print out a picture and then put bumps or raised edges around the darker parts or outline of the subject? I feel like they should. I mean, I know itâs not the same as seeing a picture, but you could get a feel of it.â It was a random question, but she wanted to be able to share the memories with him. She smiled a little, looking up at the stars again before back over at her friend. Sometimes she wished she could ask him what she could do to make things better, if there was some way she could describe things that would give him a better idea of what he couldnât see. But she didnât want to upset him or make him feel like she pitied him. She just wanted to be able to share what she saw. âYeah. Itâs a bit different back home. In the city, you canât see anything, but at school, you can see it a bit better.â
âOh youâre so right, Kenzie!â Elliot exclaimed holding his head as if he was trying to keep his skull together after being so mind blown by how much of a genius she was once again. âHuh... I donât know, actually.â He admitted, thinking if he had ever heard of such a thing. It didnât seem to be so far off in the realm of possibility. âSounds cool,â He commented, still thinking about it. âThatâs probably good that you canât see them in the city, right? Since all of the driving and traffic... I feel like I would just want to look up at the stars if I could see and drive, and then-- that wouldnât be good. Because eyes on the road!â He said, pointing to nothing, just to emphasize his point.Â
