I don’t obsess. I think…intensely.

my friend and I are seeing hilary duff in a few weeks. we initially bought got lawn tickets as a worst case, but we decided we’d get actual seats closer to the date when they (most likely) come down in price. Well yesterday she texted me saying she bought tickets cause they’ve been jumping up in price and didn’t wanna take that chance that they’d go higher. While a small part of me agrees with her (cause watch, this would be the one time we hold off and the prices don’t come down) I’m also kinda bummed cause I really do feel like we could’ve gotten better seats with a better price if we just waited a little bit. However, and this is where I feel like I have no right to complain, her husband offered to pay for them and she’s pregnant so she wanted to make 100% sure she got a seat (completely understandable). But, a.) I don’t like people paying for me, I always feel like I owe them and b.) I wish she didn’t buy them without waiting for my response. I’m looking at the Ticketmaster map for our show right now and there’s so many more blue dots than when I looked last time which was a few weeks ago. Like there’s 2 tickets in a closer section for $240ish each, and one in the opposite section we’re sitting in for $208 each. I wish we got one of those instead cause she won’t tell me what she paid for the tickets, but they were re-sale tickets so I just know they were a lot more!! Anyway this is just a halfhearted vent I guess. I’m still excited, Hilary was my childhood and I still religiously listen to her so I know I’ll have a good time!! I just wish she didn’t jump the gun and buy them without waiting for me to reply. I wish we had closer seats and were paying less. Ok rant done.

what do you say to a friend who said that they are most likely going to have a miscarriage? my friend is pregnant and said she went to her first ultrasound and they found a baby but not a heartbeat and she’s likely to have a miscarriage. I’m pretty bad at comforting people. The only thing I can think of to say is “I’m so sorry, I’m here if you wanna talk.”
