sooooo, I saw someone ask for head cannons and or lore for the scars on Johnny and how he got them. My mind was working over tome as I came up with ideas. So these are like examples of how or why he got the scars. I think I’ll make it three or four parts. This is part one. Sorry if it has mistakes. Enjoy!
Like any other young boy I think Johnny was very reckless and wild. Climbing on trees, jumping off stuff. Now however I have come up with this story for an example of how he got some scars in his younger days. Enjoy.
Bubba was screaming and crying on the floor as Nancy, Choptop, and Nubbins tried to calm him down by making faces and other silly things. Bubba was 5 years old but he didn’t act like it. Mama always told Johnny bubba was different. Special. As he watched he had an idea. In the times that Johnny had bonded and taken care of bubba he learned something. Bubba really liked Loosey. Loosey was a tan and brown colored round chicken. He didn’t know why but whenever bubba had Loosey he would stop crying. “Be back mama!” Johnny said hoping up onto his feet. “Where you goin’ Johnny?” Nancy asked. “Yea, where yuh goin’?” Nubbins asked. “I’ll be back!” Running out the side door ignoring the questions Johnny made twists and turns around the fences that went around the side yard. “Wait for me!” Johnny recognized the voice of Robert. “Go away chop top.” A nick name grandpa had given Robert. “But I wanna come with!” Johnny sighed and pause crossing his arms. “You don’t even know what I’m doin’. Chop.” Chop stood his ground. “So, I wanna come anyway.” Johnny rolled his eyes. “Fine but don’t cause no trouble.” Johnny and Robert made way to the spot that the free range chickens hung out most. After a few seconds of looking Johnny spotted the plump little chicken. He and Robert cautiously approached the chicken. “Come on lil’ chicken.” Robert cooed. “Shut. Up. You’ll scare her off.” Johnny hissed quietly as he got real close to the chicken. Loosey eyed him down. “HEY! WAIT FOR ME!” Nubbins shouted as he sprinted over before tripping and falling flat on his face. With that all the chickens started to panic some charging at the boys. Johnny tried to grab Loosey but she pecked his finger hard enough to draw blood. “Ouch! You son of a-“ he growled and went to grab her again but she didn’t back down she tired to peck him again. She fluffed her feathers to look bigger and started to charge the boy squawking and flapping her feathers. The other chickens started to follow Loosy’s lead chasing the boys down. With in a few seconds all the boys were running from the chickens. Robert was laughing like it was the funniest things he’s ever done, nubbins was screaming like a little girl, Johnny was looking for a way to escape. He saw an open crawl grate space. Easier than jumping the fence he thought. Apparently the twins had the same idea. As Johnny was almost through the the grate the other two boys rammed into the grate trying to hurry through. I’m the blink of an eye the grate came down on Johnny’s ankle. -The grates were much looser back then-The sharp metal ridges dug into his skin as he let out a pained cry. It would have crushed the twins fingers but he was in the way. “Get it off!” Johnny cried out. The twins tried lifting it up the best they could as the chickens pecked at him squawking. With effort they got it up enough that Johnny could pull his ankle through. He pulled his ankle to himself looking at the damage. Sure enough he was bleeding, the wavy shape of the metal carved into his skin. “You idiots!” He shouted at the twins as they climbed over the fence the chickens still on the other side. “We’re real sorry Johnny.” Nubbins said. “Yea, we didn’t mean nothin’ to happen to yuh.” Robert chimed in. Johnny fueled with anger hoping back over the fence went for Loosey. She started charging him but Johnny wasnt afraid this time. As soon as she came he snatched her up by her neck. “You’ve caused enough problems.” Loosey squawked and struggle as Johnny moved his hand to hold her by her feathers so she couldn’t get away. The other chickens seemed to realize their defeat and started running off in different directions. Johnny started heading back to the house. “Wait for us!” The twins called catching up.
Nancy looked up at the feather covered boys looking them over. “Johnny you’re bleeding. What happened?” The twins started to explain the story in great detail laughing here and there. Johnny let them share the story as he approached screaming Bubba. “I got something for yuh Bubba.” Bubba seeing the chicken reached out for it the cries calming down to sniffles. For what ever reason Loosey recognized her purpose and didn’t fight or peck Bubba. Weirdly enough as much as Bubba loved the chicken the chicken loved him back.
After all was said and done Nancy took care of Johnny’s cuts as the boys finished the story. Johnnys anger subsided. Hearing the story being told by the twins made it actually kinda funny.
