The Ugly Truth
No, this ain't about the movie. This, dear readers is about something far more serious and important! Something that needs to be spoken about in the open!
Suicide!
Do Not close the tab or window you are on. You may not be suicidal, but this may help someone else. So, read on.
Talking about suicide is tough all around the world, but especially here in our country, where every damn thing is 'taboo' it is even harder to deal with! It will, most likely, be swept under the carpet. People are scared to admit what goes in their head. If someone with suicidal tendencies talks about it, they will only be ridiculed more and be labled a coward.
Is that the way we deal with someone who is already depressed? Not just depressed, but depressed to the point of killing themselves!
Suicide is not exclusive to adults, in fact, such tendencies start at a young age.
Parents, listen up! The way you treat your children affects them mentally! There is a big difference between discipline and abuse. You don't have to punch and hit them with something or make them bleed to make them understand. You are only making it worse! They will live in fear and when they grow up that is how they will treat their own families.
Even worse, how you treat them, also determines their self confidence. It may lead them to feel unloved which is disastrous for a young kid. And for a teenager it might lead to alcohol & drug abuse, self-mutilation and eventually thoughts about suicide.
As it is, peer pressure, bullying from school mates & friends and sometimes teachers too drive them to being lonely!
Growing up in today's world is tough!!
Feeling worthless is not a very good feeling. It does things to you. It messes with your mind, with your Psyche! Everyone in this world wants to be accepted and loved! That is the human nature, that's what the heart yearns for. Depression aint pretty! It's sick! It can change your whole outlook towards life!
On the other hand, children prone to abuse can become bullies in schools & colleges and can affect other kids and force them into depression which might lead to suicide.
Talk to your kids, siblings, friends. Tell them you love them. Show it. Talk to them about what goes on at their school/ college/ workplace. What troubles them, why they've decided to stick to their rooms, why they've been gloomy all of a sudden.
Pay attention to the subtle signs of suicidal thoughts.
Talking or joking about committing suicide.
Saying things like, âIâd be better off dead,â âI wish I could disappear forever,â or âThereâs no way out.â "My family will be better off without me"
Writing stories and poems about death, dying, or suicide
Do not hesitate to talk about suicide.
An important way to prevent suicidal behaviour is to prioritize interacting with your child in positive ways. Some times we get into a sort of destructive cycle with a child. The child does something concerning; the parent gets critical; the kid does something more concerning; the parents get more upset. All interactions turn contentious.
So choose your battles wisely with your kid. It's part of normal development for adolescents to rebel, and you need to pick what you're going to set limits about, and the rest of the time you want to focus on the positive connections.
Your goal as a parent is to reassure struggling kids that they won't feel like this forever, and you can help do this by promoting positive experiences. When kids feel suicidal it's often because they feel hopeless and can't imagine things being better. Love and patience is the only way you can help them.
 PS:
For those people who commit suicide because the person they love has dumped them, or have started treating them wrong! You cannot ever let anyone in this world; no matter how close they are to you, make you feel like you're not important! If that's how they behave, then it was never meant to be. They do not deserve you! Move on. You have better in store for you! The world never will end unless you decide to end it for yourself! Think about what pain and devastation you will be leaving behind for your family & friends!
You are precious! Your life is precious! #onelife
Keep pressing forward fearlessly! The sun eventually will shine through the night! Through the dark clouds, through the storms, through the devastation! An when it does, you will know life like never before!
It's easy to talk about all this and not actually endure?? Yeah! It is not just hard but bloody tough! But guess what! It ain't impossible!
"How would you know?" you ask me?! I know cause I've been there! Endured! Fought it! And here I am telling you about it, thanks to The Lord who helped me persevere! I did not have any friends to help me through it back then! If you need someone to talk to, feel free to send me a message and I will guide you to the right person if I can't help you out myself. Peace out!

C'mon already! What's the fuss about?!! "Rape ain't intentional, it just happens by accident!"
Thatâs what a âCabinet Ministerâ in the ruling party whoâs also the âHome Ministerâ for Chhatisgarh thinks about rape! This, coming from a guy who is supposed to be responsible for âLaw & Orderâ in that state! Another one, from another moron on the same level of shitheadedness; a member of the Madhya Pradesh State Legislative Assembly shared his thoughts âIf the limit of morality is crossed by women, rapes happenâ. Really???!! What about the kids who got raped? huh? forget even the young teenagers.. Iâm talking about the 2 year olds, 1 year olds, the babies!!! What did they do? What limit of morality did they cross?? Yeah! letâs push the blame on the ladies. Itâs their fault, right? Easiest way to wash your hands off the matter Mr Minister!
Then thereâs the matter of the banning of the documentary that BBC made! Our media doesnât wanna take the pain of doing something, so these guys; from halfway around the world; mind you, decide to take up this project and talk to the parents & the accused and oh, not to forget the amazing defense lawyers (can we have some applause for them please), and now after the painstaking process of making the documentary, it gets banned in the country the girl; who itâs about, is from!!
Applause again.. A standing ovation actually!
Did yaâl watch the video? Itâs still available online! yeah, it is! lots of people have downloaded the video and uploaded it from their account! Watch it! make sure you do! Listen to the remorse shown by the defense lawyers! The first lawyerâs words âIf my daughter or sister engaged in pre-marital activities blah blah blah, I would most certainly take âthis sortâ of daughter or sister to my farmhouse and in front of my whole family, ,iâd put petrol on her and set her alightâ (Yeah, petrol prices have gone down. doesnât mean you use it everywhere) The second guy! LMAO!! âIn our culture, there is no place for a womanâ. I wonder if he was born from a goat!
The driver of the bus she was raped in says âWhen sheâs being raped, she shouldnât fight back. Instead, she should be silent and allow the rape. In that case they wouldâve dropped her off after raping her and only killed her friendâ "You canât clap with one hand, it takes two hands?" more rubbish from him. So is it a girlâs fault too? That is why it is called RAPE you dumb moron!!
Then there was a 17 year old boy who was a part of this gang-rape too. He gets away with just 3 years of imprisonment in a special home just because he was 180 days younger than the age that he could be tried for this crime as an adult! This is justice?
The most shocking part! So now, thousands of young people started protests against the rape. I mean, ainât that the right we have as citizens?? Well, the government, what do they do? They have the cops beat them up and use water cannons to dispel the crowd. Did the crowd incite violence? Was it a coup? Were they trying to overthrow a dictator? NO!! They were just trying to get the government to wake up and provide justice! Isnât that our right as citizens?
So what if the USA, the UK & other countries have reported higher cases of rape?? That is no excuse for India not to take action!
Is this the kind of development we are proud of, where female infanticide, acid attacks, rapes, sexual harassment happen every 5 minutes or less minutes somewhere around the country??
Why should we not talk or write about this? Maybe all that we do, falls on deaf ears. But as human beings we owe it to the unfortunate victims. They deserve atleast that much from us!
My condolences to the families of all victims. They have to live with this for the rest of their lives.
Stand up for what you believe in! Write about it, talk about it and never let this die down and be forgotten! Spread awareness! Our society need to have an overhaul of mindset It can happen to anyone! You and your family are not immune!
My blood boils and I am teary eyed as I close with a plea to yaâl to do your duties as human beings!

One Life!
Lifeâs hard! No one said itâd be easy. People who you trust the most will stick a knife in your back. Dreams youâve being pursuing go kaput. Loss of a loved one. A life threatening incident. The list goes on. And thereâs other people who can never think about dreaming because of family and people around holding them down.
Well, most people prefer not to fight the circumstance and just be happy with where they are, sink further in the sand and be cool with it! Why??! Iâm dumbfounded! I do not know where to begin thinking of reasons as to how they can be that way.
Lifeâs different to different people. Yeah, maybe there is a tiny percentage of the worldâs population who have it easy.. But what are we gaining by complaining about it? Absolutely nothing!! Instead of wasting your time and energy and killin your brain cells thinking about it, get a life! See what you can do to make Your life better!
Same goes for people whoâve had setbacks in life. Break ups, broken marriages, accidents, loss of limbs or loved ones⌠ Thatâs life! Get over it! Itâs gonna be less painful if not actually wonderful having a positive outlook towards life! Makes it easier for yourself and others around you too! Get over it! Move on! Lifeâs too short! There is this breed among the human race; different, just simply different. Iâve had the pleasure of knowing a few of these breed. They inspire me, keep me going, taught me to appreciate life! Yea, itâs hard and difficult and blah blah blah. But if you donât start somewhere, you ainât getting anywhere! So get your sorry butts off the couch and go live life like we were created to!
