She doesn't even know what planet this is. Didn't seem important an hour ago. Yet now her squad's blown to hell, and she's stranded on a fuck-you rock in the middle of the Small Mangellic Cloud.

Her high velocity rifle is scuffed, she only has half a mag left. Dirt clings to her sweaty skin. The ballistic armor is dragging at her, trying to pull her into the cracked dirt beneath her boots.

Radio's dead. HQ isn't answering.

Better to die out here than let the damned Collective catch her. So, she stumbles on, rations low, water nearly gone.

Feeling lost in her leg.
