This Sketch is by the surrealist artist Hans Bellmar  but that’s about all I know of it. The guy was a boss; check out some of his other work. I especially love the dolls he created as Nazism was on the rise and there was a new idea about what the perfect lady body should look like…Pretty much, Bellmar reacted against it and created these sexualised, fragmented bodies based on the female form that could be dismantled and re-assembled into various configurations. He’d then arrange these dolls into grotesque positions and take photos. The Nazis didn’t like him though so he had to flee Germany at some point….
