Cultivating self love & worth has been a long journey for me.

I was bullied a lot as a kid all the way through high school. It was so painful and I remember dreaming of the day I would be out of school and I wouldn’t feel so ashamed about myself.

After years of torment, those thoughts & feelings of self loathing just didn’t subside on their own. I had taught myself to stay small & keep quiet. I had programmed myself to believe I wasn’t worthy or good enough.

Even with all the healing and trust I’ve now built within myself, I can still see these old loops play out sometimes.

When I’m scared of being seen or rejection, my first feelings are to stay silent and abandon my authenticity to belong. Especially in relationship, where I can place my validation in the hands of my partner, instead of cultivating it within and giving it to myself.
