I always feel uncomfortable with friendships being forced on my Gardienne, and the thing I despise the most is how they’re forced between a young adult and teenagers !! Sorry Karenn I will never like you, you’re not my pal, you’ve never been my pal and you’ll never be my pal 

Most of the support cast is sadly bland. Kero is boriiiing, Jamon is boriiiing, Alajea is boriiiing (and kind of a bitch at first?). They all feel like cookie cutter roles: the unicorn nerd, the teenage snooping vampire, the ogre brute with a heart of gold.. I just wish all characters got the same amount of development, which I believe possible in a 30 episodes story that is as melodramatic as eldarya is. I want a friendship with the buff Hamadryad, bring her back and not just for 2 seconds cameos!!!!!! 

In writing, most of the friendships feel forced, not earned. Even when you push a character away (retaking Karenn as an example because I remember the option to verbally launch her into the sun in one episode and it felt so good) but you know they’ll come back to you next episode because they’re used as exposition devices and we can’t have our character just avoiding the lot of them or else there won’t be any emotionnal investment in this bunch of dimwits. 

So maybe having one big friendship with an actually likeable character that we choose to befriend would be good for a change???

Ouh, love the idea of a chief exam! Absinth could even be to prove your excellent knowledge of alchemy by using some well-known ingredients to craft a totally new potion (just imagine how much of a show-off Ez would be with that) (also would the kitty mafia steal it and commercialize it, the lil furry bastards?) Shadow would likely be a gathering of information, I love them as an intel oriented guard, even going as far as having to sort out what is true in the stuff they gathered and being possibly tricked by their sources to test how cunning they can be For the Obsidian I’d think of either forging a precious and complex matter or having to defeat every member of the guard in a duel (involving various weapons depending on your opponent) in a row, so not only strenght but also stamina and skill! 

 Alright so I don’t believe I owe you any explanation (and certainly no apologies) but imma do it anyway so any holier than thou person who comes across this blog will have a step by step baby mode brochure of my blog, because I’m just generous like that.  1. Did I attack Chinomiko?  No. I  do make fun of her art and writing, I never tag her or hatebrowse her blog to interact on purpose with her (neither anyone else from Beemov for that matter)  I don’t send her asks or cowardly anons (hey there), and don’t encourage anyone who takes pleasure in my blog to do so, because it would be a waste of time.  What I do, most of the time, is make fun of the entire Beemov corporation for their ludacris decisions concerning their games. Now, if your compassion is so high for a corporation that only cares about your money, honey, you’re neck deep in a capitalist stockholm syndrome and I can’t do anything about it.  2. Do I harass (gasp) Chinomiko?  Ok so to the risk of repeating myself, I don’t interact with her. At all. Not on Tumblr, not on Eldarya/MCL forums, not on Facebook. Chino exists outside of my actual life (don’t worry, it’s full of shit and that’s why I rarely find time to update that blog)  Are things (double gasp) Getting Bad??? Quick answer is no. Long answer is also no, Chino probably doesn’t gif a flying fuck about me, she makes more money a year than I do and my rants have no impact on her. It’s likely she doesn’t even know I exist.  She’s more than welcome to block me if so, guess what, it is super easy and, Once Again, I’ll never be going out of my way to interact with someone I like to mock. I’m an asshole with limits.

Hey there! So Eldarya is VERY flawed. It’s sad when you feel things that could be good ideas but are wasted on poor to absolutely baffling execution. It definitely seems they wanted to make it more adult oriented than MCL, but GODDAMN Eldarya is basically the Anti-Arcana. The Arcana is affordable, Eldarya has a system that’ll have you wait for months to play one to two episodes, or sell all your belongings on a player market controlled by the Kitty Mafia (please refer to my kitty mafia tag if you don’t know about it) The Arcana has some great queer representation and let’s you chose your MC pronouns, eldarya does none of that. Of course representation is attempted and it’s huh...
