"I’ve seen vampires do worse for less." She shrugged at the ring. Quite a few of Marcel’s group had possessed daylight rings, they showed the hierarchy of his following. What this blonde vampire had traded for this ring, she couldn’t even begin to guess. "And I’m just supposed to believe that?" She chuckled, raising an eyebrow. 

"I have no doubts." Witches were a never ending source of shortcuts and could provide vampires with many privileges. Ultimately, they represented power and everyone seemed thirsty for that. "Ah, free will is a funny little thing. You can only believe in whatever you deem fit." 

"Does that include you?"

"Where do you believe I obtained this?" he questioned, holding up his hand and showing her the daylight ring. "But I would never force a witch to use her magic for my personal gain. Deals are usually made." 

"Only by those who want something from it."

"Anyone who knows of it, wants it. Or to make use of it. Anyone who claims otherwise, is a liar."
