being a girl and hitting puberty is so traumatic. you go from being a genderless little free thing to being hit with shaving and makeup and growing breasts and skincare and menstruation and suddenly being sexualised when like a few years ago you could take your shirt off to play in the stream and trade yugioh cards with the boys and come home covered in mud and not even think about it. and then you spend years hating being a girl and hating everything puberty did to you and wishing you could be a boy or be completely genderless again and it takes you Many years to come to terms with yourself Or you simply try to Lean In to everything and do makeup tutorials on YouTube and claim it’s for fun. like how can this be treated as normal
this is it this is literally it I have never felt so seen and heard in my entire life than when reading this post right here, it’s so hard to go through puberty and know that you don’t want it and then to make it out on the “other side” or w/e you wanna call it and know that you have had something stolen from you that you can never get back because now any change you make it perceived as being on one side of the binary or the other or both and I don’t want both. I don’t want neither. I want what I had before, and I can never have that again.
My loves... girls don’t think like this, the only people I’ve talked to who want to revert from puberty or be the opposite gender are gender queer people:|
Nope, I am a butch lesbian who does not appreciate being told I’m not a woman and many girls & women clearly relate to this. You are being completely inappropriate and diminishing the impact misogyny can have on children.
disappointment the worst feeling ever actually
Hi just because youre a gay man doesnt mean you can say whatever you want about women

Mary Wallace, the first female bus driver in Chicago, 1974.
what is it about things being gender neutral having to also be ‘masculine’. like, why can you wear a suit and tie and call it gender neutral but not a dress cause that’s feminine. why can you call people dude or guy as a gender neutral term but not girl cause that’s feminine. short hair is neutral but long hair is feminine. i mean i know why this is fully a rhetorical question but let’s think about that
Aphrodite would be proud of your bush, btw
Mornings: yay another day
Evenings: I have to kill myself.
was musing the other day that I can't think of a lot of Coward Characters who are women. I can think of female characters who are afraid, anxious, and conflict-averse, but not a lot who are really Cowards. my current hypothesis for why this might be is twofold: 1. if a man runs screaming and crying away from something the automatic response is "what a coward" but if a woman runs screaming and crying away from something the automatic response is "what a girl;" if you want a Coward Narrative about a woman then you have to put in extra legwork to try and make it not come across like she sucks because of her gender. 2. I think "cowardice" is seen as kind of the worst defect for the masculine gender role in a way it isn't for the feminine role. comparable sins against femininity are more about being un-loving and un-beautiful, and there are a lot more Narratives about female characters centered around those. basically what I'm saying is that we need more girlcowards and also probably more boycinderellas.

not caring too much about a fandom’s favourite guy is the worst. you’ll think “oh i’ll look into the tag see if anything new and cool’s there” and it’s just that fucking guy again
The Problem With AI Vigilantism in Fandom
I want to talk about the harm caused by trying to police AI in creative communities, because things are getting really toxic. For the record, I dislike generative AI too. I think it’s built on theft and goes against the point of human expression. But turning online spaces into places where everyone is watched just to catch 'AI users' is hurting marginalized creators. Before you accuse someone based on a gut feeling or an unreliable detector, remember this: What people call AI 'tells' often look a lot like standard ESL writing. Non-native English speakers usually use structured, precise grammar or stick to common transitions because that’s how they learn the language. Accusing someone of using AI just because their writing sounds 'too clean' or 'formulaic' is often just xenophobia. This also hurts neurodivergent or hyper-focused writers. Many writers on the spectrum have their own structured styles, or they can write a lot in a short time. Calling high productivity or a different writing style 'robotic' pushes away the very people who make fan spaces interesting. The 'witch hunt' mindset does real damage. A community can handle a few cases of bad, AI-generated text getting through. What it can’t handle is a place where creators are too scared to post because a few loud voices are ready to attack them over a simple sentence.
AI models are trained on very structured, perfect grammar. So when a real person uses precise words, common transitions like 'Furthermore' or 'It is important to note,' or textbook grammar, detectors often say it’s AI. There’s a real ESL bias: studies show non-native English speakers get falsely accused much more often. Because ESL writers use standard words and sentence structures, detectors often flag their real work as robotic. One Stanford study found that 61% of essays written by international students were wrongly flagged as AI by at least one detector.
I want to end with one last message: stop trying to act like a digital cop. If you don’t like something, just move on. Unless someone openly says they used Gen AI, forcing people to defend themselves in public is ruining the spaces we’re trying to protect.
Would you be okay with having the skull of someone you are close to sitting on your mantle/in your home? (died naturally, it is legal to have, AND they consented to it. This bars any and all ethical concerns!)
Yes
No
1.who is/are your comfort character(s)? & 4.which cryptyd being do you believe in?
Who are your comfort characters? Part 2 of this question! Nikolai Lantsov and Nina Zenik will probably stay comfort characters for a very long time as well! And can't forget David Kostyk. And a whole list of my OCs alone... Milly, Vanya, Vano, even Timon at the moment and in a way, Corvina too. 4. Which cryptid being do you believe in? Do ghosts count as cryptid beings? Because I firmly believe in their existence in various ways. Also, Nessie! The famous picture of her had long been debunked, but we still know so little about the ocean, it's not unrealistic that an animal like her exists in the depths of it. I also believe in shadowpeople, fae in some ways and general nature spirits. I don't really know what falls under the term cryptid precisely, so...yeah.
21.something you’ve kept since childhood? & 32.what type of music keeps you grounded?
Thank you for the asks 💜
21. Something you've kept since childhood?
Keeping is a wrong word, but two scars - one on my knee from slipping on a gravel path, and one on my nose from where my childhood dog snapped at me.
(And trauma, but dont we all 🤣).
32. What type of mysic keeps you grounded?
Funny enough, creepy ambience. The creepier and spookier the better! Put howling winds in, put screaming in, put whispers in, crows and ravens, the rattling of chains. I can't tell you what it is about it that I find it grounding, but yeah...😬

49. Can you skip rocks?
Sadly, no. My father is really good at it and when I was smaller we used to go down for walks near a river and he'd try to teach me but I was too incompetent. Our relationship has been difficult ever since. (Just kidding of course. But I do wish that I could do it)
14: do you love the smell of earth after it rains?
Yes, absolutely!
