i had this little lamb toy that the cats ignored so i put it in a Tupperware with some catnip for a few days to see if that made it interesting. i seem to have succeeded too well, nona is now running around tossing it into the air and chasing it and yelling. she brought it to my bedroom specifically to do this

update: she just jumped up into my bed specifically to do this. even the drugs rainbow never had an effect like this. what have i created.

And do you consider, if only we overthrow the creator, storm the gates of heaven and steal the keys of creation for ourselves, we could build a better world? a perfect world. We could rewrite time itself and author a universe in which no one has or will ever know suffering.

I can't really see the stars very well, from where I live. I have vague plans to go see the milky way somewhere very dark, someday.

There is no creator, no gates to storm, no keys to steal. We have to rewrite reality and erase suffering with the sweat of our brows, with tools we make with our own hands, and the burning conviction in our hearts that it must happen. And we must do it together, hand in hand. Will you join me?

when people with sensory recall talk about getting a song stuck in their head, they mean it literally!

chewing your food longer makes it easier to swallow...

and I hadn't yet learned that if people treat you badly and make you feel bad about yourself, you shouldn't build your social life around them!

#the logic behind xkcd's lucky 10000 also applies to mundane things #that sound super obvious in retrospect #and you can either be mad at yourself (and others) abt it #or accept that it's normal for some of this stuff to fall through the cracks #and that's okay!!!
