I have recently rewatched the Llamas with Hats Epilogue and, huh, they made the violent abusive asshole face the consequences of his actions, had his main victim tell him point blank his behavior is what destroyed their relationship, made it clear several times he is past the point of redemption and will NOT change his ways, and yet gave him a genuinely sweet ending where he accepted he could never get his "friend" back and should keep his distance and not make his toxicity everyone else's problem.
It hit like a sucker punch compared to TADC's treatment of its violent abusive asshole who everyone decided to keep around as a pet.
