Phoenix is my little stinky oc who I originally made to be a more motherly figure to my Courier (since Raul was a fatherly figure for them) but he decided to transition, change his name 3 times, and go through 50 different designs. This is hopefully the one I'm sticking with.

Essentially, Phoenix got hitched with legionary when they were pretty young and birthed a child, but it was a girl- So, then the legionary went off to serve and brought more troops back to the village, Phoenix and the daughter (Nicolette, who had grown up to 9 years old in the time the father had been gone) were ordered to be killed and their house was set ablaze. Nicolette died in the fire, but Phoenix survived and went on to take out an ungodly amount of Legion camps in a fit of rage.

He sustained a pretty nasty wound to the face after a legionary slashed him with a ripper, so he went into hiding and became known as a sort of urban legend to the Legion. He now dresses in a particular gettup in order to honor his daughter, who enjoyed playing cowboys with Phoenix before her death. He also wears it in a sort of self-destructive way, like he knows that it could lead to him getting attacked and thats exactly why he rarely takes it off. He wants Legionaries to come, either to kill them or to lessen his own lifespan a bit. Hes so depressed and sad I hate him.

He immediately distrusts Raul due to his closeness to Six (brain damaged girl + old ass man is a ... weird combo) and initially thinks that Raul has feelings for Six, not knowing that Raul had begrudgingly started developing feelings for Phoenix!! They're so cute ahhh
