The Necromancer's Apprentice

Yeah, about all that. I’m sorry. WHOOPS.

But between coming up on my degree, Moonlight Over the Forest, Eight Minutes More, my research for 8 Mins and one of my novels, my D&D games, and a bunch of other shit I haven’t had the time or motivation to maintain this.

But that isn’t to say I haven’t been roleplaying with Effron. He’s my default character over on skype and I’ve been doing a disgusting amount of development with him. He even has a voice claim now! [Christian Sloan? I think his name is. The guy who plays Strand on the ‘Black Tapes Podcast’. They haven’t released their cast list yet but everyone is speculating that its Sloan.]

Maybe one day I’ll be getting back to this blog, but I haven’t really had much traction with the Fandom At Large (not that I’ve wanted to. I’ve seen enough of it in my opinion and I’m glad to be on the periphery) and there’s really only one or two people I’d do anything with on here.

I may, in the future, write a massive story just about Effron and his life growing up in the castle and post it piecemeal on here on a schedule for people to read/follow. Idk. I’m still trying to decide what to do with this. I don’t want to give it up entirely but things are also pretty dead here.

I’ll let you guys know what I come up with.

“Usually it does. Most people think zombies and skeletons and think that we are somehow violating the sanctity of the dead by taking away their ability to be resurrected. Nevermind that one: resurrection is a form of necromancy in the first place and two: true resurrection is insanely uncommon.”

He laughs, “If anything, necromancy, when applied in the right ways, can be more effective than an actual army of living people. They don’t feel pain or fear, you don’t have to feed them, they usually don’t have families to mourn them. But no. People would much rather fight and die than let the dead do the work for them.”
