i’ve seen a ton of ppl on twitter disliking c!philza and i wanna defend him so here’s my braindump

- to start: C!PHILZA IS NOT RELATED TO C!TOMMY STOP CALLING HIM A BAD FATHER BECAUSE OF TOMMY

- there’s a ton of double standards that i see between c!phil and c!techno, especially with the butcher army

- ppl seem to forget that c!philza was literally put under house arrest during the butcher army storyline, he was stuck in his f-ing house and literally had to watch techno almost get executed from his porch

- doomsday: most of phil’s expericene with lmanberg is negative, with lmanberg being associated with the death of his only son, the butcher army, and tommy betraying techno

- not to mention there’s barely any canon interactions between c!philza and c!tommy, (and none that i can think of off the top of my head), since most of them are between techno and tommy, therefore most of phil’s impressions of tommy result from techno’s stories, in which tommy literally betrays him for lmanberg and two discs (which, btw, hold little value to people other than tommy, dream, and tubbo)

- doomsday was an act of revenge, but could also be freedom in a way. destroying lmanberg got rid of the corrupted way of ruling, along with the government, a way for a new beginning

- c!tommy’s death: personally, i think the way that c!phil and c!techno acted was valid, a) first stage of grief is denial, and b) as i said before, their past experiences with tommy were mostly negative, along with people having different reactions to death (@ the ppl on twitter complaining at techno’s reaction)

- not to mention he’s canonically really old. man’s probably experience the deaths of so many people he’s known before, he’s lived a long ass life
