Physically able people need to be more normal about people who cannot under any circumstance walk.
People who crawl around their houses because the hallways aren't accessible.
People who cannot just push through inaccessibility, cannot walk up a couple of stairs if the elevators are down.
People who cannot be spontaneous because they are reliant on an attendant pushing them.
People who cannot walk at all. For whatever reason.
I worded this poorly and forgot about people who can walk but still physically disabled. You also count. You need to think about people who can't walk.
You know what's really fucking annoying. Having an incredibly difficult experience with paralysis than most other people.
Hemiplegia means my left side of my body has severe weakness. Not like chronic pain muscle weakness like I cannot move my arm or leg. My face has been affected too but not as bad.
If my arm could support anything or move, I'd be able to use crutches. If my arm worked, I'd be able to push my chair myself, I wouldn't be reliant on an attendant.
My right leg is becoming weaker because I cannot walk anymore. I miss walking.
Tips for getting dressed and doing chores with hemiplegia??? Please?
I can't see a doctor for several months and occupational therapy is a 1-2 year wait, hence asking online disabled community :(
1. Comfy slide on clothes. Nothing tight fitting. Loose work out clothes work best.
2. Slide on shoes or zip ups
3. Use mobility aids but also set things up in advanced
4. Organize the shit out of everything ahead of time
5. If you can do a task sitting on bed or the floor do so. Same with laying down.
6. Electrolyte drink the entire time

Everything you said to me is stuck to my skin like dry mud. I sat with you, covering myself in your abuse until the sun hardened it all.
My system is wrong, I am wrong. My existence is self harm.
I let you say all of this and I lapped up every word because I loved you, and I wanted to save you. I thought that if I made myself smaller, if I showed you how good I was, that you would trust me to help you.
I offered my everything and it wasn't enough for you.
I let you lather me in mud and tell me it was soap.
I tried to help you escape your home, I tried to help you get some independence. And you rewarded me by trauma dumping after I asked you not to, rewarded me by lying to me so I would sleep with you, rewarded me with making my own system collapse because you triggered me on purpose for months on end with no break.
It was constant. You constantly had to win the trauma Olympics. I couldn't grieve my relative because your relative abused you. I couldn't miss my abusive mother because yours misgendered you. I couldn't have the complex relationship with my abusers that comes with being free because it was always more important that YOU HURT. I COULDN'T HURT BECAUSE YOU HURT. IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT I SAID. IT DIDNT MATTER HOW MUCH I COMFORTED YOU. IT DIDN'T MATTER THAT I OFFERED YOU HOUSING, ADMIN HELP, EVERYTHING. it never ever fucking mattered.
You were always manipulative and abusive. And I just let you do it to me after I watched you do it to others.

I wish people could talk about domestic violence without being fucking weird about it.
It's like unless I end up in hospital my partner isn't actually hurting me. That's insane. What and there's no support for the abuser either? It's genuinely like once you hurt someone they just expect you to be evil forever.

There is a huge problem with people, especially abusive people, using disorders such as ASPD and NPD (and others but this is my experience) as ways to gaslight their victims.
I had an ex who would take every action I did, every thought I expressed and tell me I was being narcissistic. Would take my autistic symptoms and tell me I had ASPD.
And I think people need to just back the fuck off with labelling anyone with a disorder they don't believe they have. If you aren't that person's medical team you have no reason to be saying that shit about them.
(ASPD and NPD are not "bad" disorders, they do not make people bad, but my hurt came from having my reality twisted by someone who wasn't qualified and wasn't trained and wasn't able to help me telling me that I had personality disorders when my symptoms were actually autism.) (Because of the social stigma around these disorders, using them to gaslight someone into believing they are more prone to abusing you makes them easier to control, especially when they Don't Actually Have the Disorder.)
I hope the people who hurt me are DEAD. I hope the friends I outgrew are DEAD. I hope the exes who hurt me are DEAD.

I hate the doctors. I'm so scared of going to the doctor. I hate being in front, I hate not being able to get out of front. I hate having DID, I hate having to be an adult for everyone else.
