The Lone Biker Of The Apocalypse

I am relaxed, rested, for the first time I can remember, certainly before I went on vacation. After a busy day Saturday and a migraine yesterday, I was glad I had the foresight to take today off. I got up a little later than usual for a Monday, skipped my workout, had some coffee, talked to my therapist for an hour. Got stoned outside because the rain was postponed, yet again, til this evening…..finished my book.

I have just finished this. I am still mentally keeping track and I am exactly two books behind last year’s pace, but I don’t have an actual goal this year because it’s more satisfying to finish a book in a weekend because it’s so good, to have a migraine yesterday and still knock out a hundred and fifty pages. And to have had my nose buried in it most of today. Fantastic book.

Well. I did not hit the bookstore, which is good because I have a pretty good size stack and I had a toilet that was leaking ever so slightly and I needed to fix it. I’d tried this and that and then went to the beach….
