Michelangelo lost his mother early, he was only six years old when it happened. Michelangelo's father Lodovico, at one time the mayor of Caprese, literally broke his son's arms because he thought that painting and sculpture was nonsense and a waste of time. That is why Michelangelo learned to work secretly, "in his head", and that is where the famous anecdote comes from, when it was said that he went completely crazy and sat on the glade for days and watched a huge discarded marble stone in the sun. MikelanÄelo je ostao bez majke rano, imao je svega Å”est godina kada se to desilo. MikelanÄelov otac Lodoviko, jedno vreme gradonaÄelnik Kaprezea, je bukvalno svom sinu lomio ruke zato Å”to je smatrao da je slikarstvo i vajarstvo budalaÅ”tina i traÄenje vremena. Zbog toga je MikelanÄelo nauÄio da radi kriÅ”om, "u glavi", i otud potiÄe ona Äuvena anegdota, kada se priÄalo da je potpuno poludeo i da danima sedi na proplanku i posmatra ogroman odbaÄeni kamen mermera na Suncu.
