Apologies for not getting off the mark with this sooner, but at least it wasn't an hour before the event this time!

The next meet will be our annual WinterWonderlandStuck event!

This is a cosplay meet, so please feel free to come along dressed as your favourite characters in the most gaudy of Christmas attire imaginable. If you don't want to cosplay that's also fine! Just come along and have a really lovely time with us!

We're meeting at VC, on Saturday, 20th December, at 12:30pm. If this is your first meet, VC (the Vriska Circuit as it's known) is our name for the flat plaza above the Princes Mall, next to the stairs into Waverley Station. Just look for the homestuck cosplay!

Please remember that while this is a cosplay meet, it is also in the middle of december. It is going to be cold, and it may even rain, so please remember to wrap up warm and be prepared for inclement weather!

Hey everyone, Mod K here!

First off, apologies. I'm really really sorry that the blog has been inactive over the past [INSERT TIME HERE], this was caused by a lack of foresight on my part, plus a relatively high level of burying-head-in-sand, and a sprinkle of running-from-responsibilities.

I'm back in the seat now, and there will be meets properly back up and running with ACTUAL timescales and such, letting you all know what our plans are and with lots of fun stuff planned for the festive period!

Due to aforementioned shirking of responsibilities, it'd only now (1 hour beforehand at the time of posting) that I've had the chance to make a post about a meet that's being held today (08/11/14), to celebrate dara's birthday! Come along, VC, 12:30pm, if you can! There are plans to go to the Museum today too!!

Once again I can only apologise for being a loser nerd and dropping the ball on this one. I can only hope that I can do better in the future.

just a quick post to say this is the last you'll hear from me, mod c, on this blog. i'm leaving my position as a moderator for the group, and handing it over to mod k, who i'm certain will be able to do a great job with you guys, i mean, he has done already!

i'll still be attending some future meets when i can and i will see you all around then, and at cons, and on the internet. it's been a fantastic two years we've had together, edinburghstuck and all its members have had a huge impact on my life. i've grown as a person and made new friends and seen them grow too - it was a brilliant opportunity and i am so glad i was a part of it for so long. but now i've got to grow even more - aiming to start a career in the police force soon - which will be a lot of work!

once again, thank you guys, edinburghstuck wouldn't be the thing it is today without you. i wouldn't be the same person i am today without all of you. i'm very grateful.

alright, sliiiight change of plan! instead of going to north berwick, we're gonna go to kirkcaldy beach instead! a return without a railcard is £9.40, £6.20 with, and those travelling from dundee and around there can get a train direct from dundee that's significantly cheaper! hopefully more people will be able to make it now.

we'll be meeting in waverley station foyer in front of all the departure boards where boots and wh smith are before departing for the 11:39 train to kirkcaldy, for those meeting us in kirkcaldy, our train will be arriving at 12:25.

i actually did something hoo boy okay so! apologies for the amount of meets in a small space of time, but alas, there's not much longer left in summer!

Beachstuck 1, July 5th: this event will be held at burntisland in fife, the plan would be to meet in burntisland train station at 12:30. it may be easier for people to get trains direct from where they stay, and that's totally fine, however those coming in from edinburgh, the train fare is £8.10 without a railcard, and it takes just over half an hour. we'd aim to get the 11:39 train for a 12:15 arrival. burntisland has a nice, clean beach and a funfair with rides, stalls and games, so it'll be a good day for everyone.

Cosplay Meet, July 12th: pretty self-explanatory, we'll meet on top of princes mall at 1pm before heading down to the meadows with possibility of another barbeque, so bring a couple pound towards food if you want to get in on that!

M+Ds, July 19th: this is a meet organised by the scotlandstuck group, though if people want to go through to glasgow for it, travel arrangements can be made to go together.

Beachstuck 2, August 1st: a second beachstuck, this time heading to north berwick like last year. the plan would be to meet in north berwick train station at 12:30. from edinburgh, the train we'd aim to get would be the 11:43, arriving at 12:17, with fares at £6.80 without a railcard.

also, unfortunately we still have no word on another venue for promstuck, and we're more than likely putting it on hiatus until another venue can be 100% confirmed. we're sending out our utmost apologies.

the plan for laserquest is as follows!

meet up at 12:30  usual time, usual place, top of princes mall - then we'll have lunch and probably chill in the gardens for a little bit as our laserquest slot isn't until 5pm - though we need to be there 15 minutes earlier to get ready and whatnot. we should be out of there for 6pm at the latest, and then we'll probably go have dinner and such. we won't be going anywhere as such, but i hope that answers your questions!

due to some unfortunate circumstances, we're unable to make laserquest this weekend. we're deeply sorry, however the plan is to now go to the botanical gardens instead, and next month when we were due to go there, we'll be going to laserquest. once again, we're really sorry.

we'll still be meeting at the usual time at the usual place: 12:30 at princes mall. plan is from there to get lunch and head off for the bus around 1:30-2:00.

the botanic gardens are free to get in, all you'll need is a £1.50 bus fare there and a £1.50 bus fare back. feel free to cosplay to your hearts content, i've heard there's a few nice spots in the gardens for photographs!

we're running into some problems and may have to swap laserquest and botanical gardens around - i should be able to get back with that at the end of the day
