EVA: There is not one man here that I’m attracted to.

JASON: Hi. This is Albert.

EVA: No, not unusual at all. And no offense.

ALBERT: That’s okay, I’m not attracted to anyone here, either. //

SARAH: Will said that some guy you met at the party wants your number! Jason’s friend I think. (Eva smiles, in spite of herself.) //

EVA: When I first met him hedidn’t seem attractive to me. He’s nottypically handsome. But now I think he’skind of sexy. //

ALBERT: Want to kiss?//

EVA: It’s funny, our middle aged-ness iscomforting and sexy to me. //

ALBERT: I kind of adore you already. //

EVA: You have four hundred mouthwashes.

ALBERT: Uh, yeah. I buy them, I forget to use them, I buy more…//

(He reaches for the guacamole and starts to swirl the onions to the side. Eva watches, wondering if this bothers her or not.) //

ALBERT: When did you figure it out?

(Eva stalls, not knowing what to say.) //

ALBERT: And what about us? You didn’t protect us.

EVA: I didn’t protect us. //

ALBERT: This might sound corny, but you broke my heart. And I’m too old for that shit. Andthe worst part, the worst part is thatyou made me look like an idiot in frontof my daughter.

EVA: I’m the idiot. I’m the idiot! //

EVA: I’ve missed you.

ALBERT: I’ve missed you too. //

Oh, I thought you should know. I bought some night tables.

EVA: You did?

ALBERT: No.

EVA: Okay. That’s good.
