Which breaks Buck and Eddie apart and they kind of blush a little and are like aw shucks, sorry kid.

And then Chris says to the person on the phone "No, not you, i just caught my dad's making out in the kitchen where we make food." In that annoyed teenager voice.

And Buck gets all verklempt because Chris referred to him as a dad and Eddie is all starry eyed at his son for making Buck feel so loved and included and you can tell he wants to hug Chris but he restrains himself because, yes, teenager.

And the whole thing is just...*chin hands* and *sigh* kind of a domestic scene.

the car and the smell of food actually being cooked lead them to believe eddie has a girlfriend over they didn’t know about. they think he’s just waiting for the right moment to introduce her.

they inquire as to who made the lovely meal and eddie beams a bright smile and yells over his shoulder “you can come in now!”

and their smile drops when instead of seeing a lovely latina woman walking in, they see the man that is Evan Buckley.

of course, they believe that eddie is dating buck and that’s why he was hiding him away.

they say as much to eddie, who is very confused by the assumption and both him and buck are quick to brush away their concerns.

after dinner, they discuss what eddie’s parents thought and their domesticity.
