i knew even when he was complaining, that all might was comparing the fact that they’re atoning, not anything else (and that all might doesn’t know how bad endvore is). i still don’t like it. i don’t really think there’s a justification for it frankly.

there’s a difference between two kids the same age and one being an unholy inexcusable piece of shit to the other, vs like. a grown ass man buying a woman and making her have his kids and then beating the shit out of them and her, you know?

the magnitude of what they’re “atoning” for or “changing” about themselves is leagues different. and frankly, bkg would NEVER have gone the endvore route, even if he didn’t change. he was way too fucking determined to do shit himself. if he had to buy a woman and rely on a kid to meet his goal then that... wouldn’t count as meeting his goal to him. he just... wasn’t nearly a shit enough person for me to feel comfortable with horikoshi comparing a 16 year old child to a full grown abuser, ja feel?

anyways i’ve been stewing on the newest chapter all day and i just...

katsuki’s body moving before he could think, specifically to save izuku, is like. the number one thing i’ve wanted out of his dev for? maybe a year? or more? so i think i’m happy? i think i do actually feel good about where things are at rn. i 100% doubt he’s going to die or get his quirk taken. so i’m fine and accepting of where this chapter ended

the problem is like. im pissed at everything else KSDJHGS. last chapter was some stupid shit. “i trust deku completely” ok when did that happen. when the fuck did that happen. why did horikoshi not think it mattered to Show Us That? like yeah there was a ~january to ~march timeskip so they’ve been working closely together for ~3 months with bakugo being the only person who knows his secret so it makes sense that it would happen but you can’t just go “yeah idk it happened during those last three months” and not SHOW it dude what the fuck

    He’s holding so very still as she does her work, ever-concerned of disrupting the process and upsetting his friend by somehow undoing all her hard work with a wrong move. He fidgets with his hands and listens to the merry little tune she hums for herself to keep himself busy, but apart from that he even breathes as carefully and motionless as he can, letting out his own hum of acknowledgement when she speaks.

        “With your magnificent handiwork? I have no doubt.” The words are accompanied by a very small smile, a little wobbly but no less warm or sincere for it. He tilts his head then, just slightly, angling it to where his eyes can meet her own for a brief moment.

Face definitely several shades paler than when this topic had first been broached, Tamaki unconsciously wrapped his arms around his stomach as if to smother his nerves. He wanted to go back to a minute ago, when he thought the brunt of Kirishima’s training was working out and not flinging himself from rooftops.

“There aren’t―better ways―to work on your endurance?” His underclassman was undeniably incredibly brave, to be able to do this kind of training so nonchalantly―he was also undeniably stressing Tamaki right out.

Another helpless noise, and then he was shaking his head. “I think―maybe it would be a better idea to ask someone else? Um, with good reaction times, who also―uh―will be able to give their full attention.”

At the defiance the girl’s cheeks puffed up, red eyes glossy with determination as Eri moved from sitting to resting upon her knees. His voice was rough, but she could sense that he was lying and that was enough for her to stand her ground.

“Because you’re mean.”

Soft eyes stared back as a hand moved to rest over his face. It was a gentle touch, filed and well kept nails lightly scratching over it.

“You talk bad to people that just want to be your friends, and that’s not nice. But, you like people that fight you.”

“So I thought that if I fought you, you would be less mean to people.”

He scoffed, rolling his eyes, unsurprised and unimpressed with that answer. So she had a problem with his attitude? She could get in line.

Of course, it was because he was busy rolling his eyes that he missed the hand coming towards his face, and he almost flinched―Katsuki, the kid with the best reflexes in the class, impossible for a villain to sneak up on, caught off guard by a six year old―and when her hand reached the side of his face his eyes snapped back to her in a glare of utmost indignation.

“Okay, let’s get some things straight, shrimp.” He brushed her hand aside―with significantly less force or explosions than would have been involved with anyone else, still scowling fiercely.

Katsuki huffs disdainfully at the noncommittal response, but doesn’t deign to respond otherwise, cradling his chin in his hand and hunching in on himself in what’s more a performance of irritation than an actual result of it. If he didn’t want to be sitting here, with Denki, who he’d just fed, then he wouldn’t be.
