So many thoughts on my mind today as I try to navigate life.  Why do the people we love bring us so much pain? How does someone go from meaning nothing to meaning everything to you? How can the same person love you so much and hurt you so much at the same time? 

The name Ugadi/Yugadi originated from the Sanskrit words; ‘Yuga’(age) and ‘Adi’(starting). The Lunar New Year’s Day(Ugadi) varies every year as it begins on the first New Moon after the Spring Equinox. It generally falls between March/April of the Gregorian calendar.Ugadi celebrates the arrival of the spring season and signifies prosperity. As spring brings in new leaves, new buds, bright sunlight and nature seem to awaken from its long winter slumber, so does the festival signify the birth of a new era.While states like Maharashtra, celebrate their Lunar New Year’s Day as Gudi Padwa, people of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana celebrate it as Ugadi. Ugadi is also known as ‘Chaitra Suddha Padhyami’. 

Ugadi is celebrated today (april 6th,2019) in Andhra pradesh ,Telangana,Karnataka states of India .Manipur state of India also brings in it’s New year today as -  Sajibu nongma panba cheiraoba.Sindhi’s celebrate and bring in their new year-  Cheti chand tommorow (april 7th,2019) 

The date of Ugadi is based on the calculations of the position of the moon and the position of the Sun to divide the year into months and days. As history goes back from mythological times when Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, began a series of wonderful creations, including that of the earth and all the life forms that live in it. The festival of Ugadi is celebrated to acknowledge that very day on which Lord Brahma started with the task. The day also marks the beginning of spring season, which is considered to be the first of all seasons, with plants, shoots, and leaves coming to life and therefore, the day is believed to set things rolling for a fresh and successful new beginning. This day is considered very auspicious for starting any new venture or for making new investments.
