Broken Gods Chapter 7 Will be Delayed.
So update for any of the people reading my Broken Gods fanfic. What I thought was only a mild flair up with my health condition has very much snowballed unfortunately and I'm on a medicine that is making me drowsy a lot. Broken Gods Chapter 6: Overworked.
Lambert and Narinder make their way though Darkwood, and once they do, rest seems to be not in Lambert's vocabulary as they look for a mine, perform a new ritual and when they do try to take a break travel becomes a whole lot harder, especially since they still haven't slept since that nightmare.

A little lighthearted scene I drafted for Narinder's slowly being friendly with the cultists/repairing things with his siblings and to show the comfort that's between Lambert and him during the spring arc (before the war arc).

Chapter 5: Pipe Dreams
Lambert and Narinder find that the way to Darkwood is blocked by a large log as they look for Hanatre. After rescuing her they find a large source of water for the pipe system and make preparations to head into Darkwood once the log is taken care of with nightmares still coming to both Lambert and Narinder.

Broken Gods Chapter 4: Lightning Never Strikes Twice.
Summary:
Lambert and Narinder make it through the second trip to Darkwood though not without conflict between one another, and things grow hectic in the Cult when heretics attack. Lambert has never experienced that before and it increases concern among the flock.

Broken Gods Chapter 3: A Look Into the Past.
Summary:
Lambert must deal with a lot. From figuring out who has been causing the damages to both the lumberyard and medicinal section of the farmland, a follower who has been very rebellious, a cat who has probably the worst reputation, and unsettling nightmares. Narinder also deals with the nightmares and fairly early in their second trip to Darkwood proves challenging.

Sketches of My Broken Gods au Lambert with the new set of weapons they have through the white crown. I have in my head a sort of order in terms of each weapon here being comparable to the red crown's weapons. Can you guess them? And just for the record no the throwing knives aren't actually the counterpart to the dagger. Here is a hint. Since Lambert's new weapons tap into their large pool of fervor will determine how fast they can use said weapon due to needing to replenish the fervor.

Learning anthropomorphic anatomy is quite the humbling experience. But the show must go on so I can draw my favorite cotl ship!
Anyway, hopefully I can get the hang of this so that I can post Broken God's Lambert with their new weapons as a result of the different crown.

Chapter 2: An Angry, Contradictory Cat
Summary: Lambert is forced to deal with many things at once and the angry God of Death is not helping in the slightest. In fact, he was a major source of their workload.
I just want to say how much joy it gives me whenever I see a Kudos. I do this for fun and cause I like Cult of the Lamb but I can't deny that it makes me happy for anyone at all to like it. Now with that sappy statement out of the way, I am working through a never ending well of ideas to try and sort things in a proper order that makes sense for the story I have in my head. There are little scraps you may find throughout the chapters that I think you will enjoy when we eventually get to the payoff so please be patient. Other than that happy reading!

This is to let any who have read the chapter 2 of the fic know that I have overhauled the chapter and changed a lot due to my own dissatisfaction over the pacing among other things of the original chapter 2. I was chasing a dopamine high I got after writing the first chapter and the quality of my work suffered for it. I learned my lesson and I will from now on be updating on Saturdays so that I allow myself more time to reread and make sure the quality is up to my own standards before posting. Apologies and I hope you enjoy this new version of chapter 2!
