Destructive Energies the Russian Way
Evil Eye
сглаз / "sgals"
verb: сглазить/ "sglazit' "
from глаз/"glaz"= eye
The Evil Eye is probably the most famous destructive energy worldwide. Nearly every culture has an equivalent to it even in places like Germany, where they lost most of their own spiritual knowledge, the Evil Eye is still a thing, here mostly due to influences from Turkey. But obviously in this post I'm focusing on personal experience and knowledge from Russia, Ukraine and Central Asia (Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan...)
The Evil Eye can be thrown at someone in two different ways, both of them triggered by jealousy and enviousness.
1) In the first version the Evil eye is cast out without the direct will of the one who throws it. In doing so the caster doesn't say anything negative to their "victim", on the contrary the victim is praised by the casters, who can honestly think that way and mean their compliments sincerely, but they habe negative experiences with the topic, deep within themselves they are jealous and want to have what the other person already has. That way they send destructive energy towards the victim uncounciously without ever wanting to harm them.
For example person A has a garden with a vegetable patch. His neighbour person B starts praising A, telling him how gorgeous his vegetable garden is and how delicious his tomatoes look, how fertile his soil is... B honestly thinks that and just wants to say something nice about A, but he has traumatic experiences with the topic "garden". A would love to grow his own vegetables, but he has to work all the time and doesn't have anyone to help him, while A gets a lot of help from his family. Unconsciously he sends this negativity towards A. Shortly after this conversation A will notice that all his plants shrivel even though they have enough water and don't lay in the direct sun. It might even come to a pest infestation without any rational reason.
Compliments can ruin everything in way or another, be it your car, your phone or the most popular of all your health.
2) The second possibility would be that a person is conscious about their enviousness and wants to see the other one suffer so they harm them deliberately. People who are able to use this form of the Evil Eye, actually have Evil Eyes (don't get that mixed up with Portscha I'm mentioning the differences later) . You can see who has evil eyes if you're able to look through people. This isn't superficial, the evil eye has nothing to do with eye colour or shape it's a state of being. It's in the personality of these people they "are evil" and chose not to change that, similar to Energy Vampires, and this you can see in them. Their eyes just are and look "evil". But very few people are able to see others for what they truly are. Only women possess the actually harmful Evil Eye. Men can have the Evil Eye too, even though it is more rare in them, but they aren't able to use it. They desire to through it at someone and try yet it doesn't work, therefore they get extremely angry in the mundane plane and start to scream at or insult their target. It's ridiculous if you witness that reaction. I talked about men and women but in fact you're born with Evil Eyes. I saw it in children of all ages while growing up, the thing is they can't use it, they feel the need to try and when it doesn't work they get tantrums, same thing applies to teenagers. It seems to take some time to master the art of Sglas only that men never manage to do so. I'm sure they could use their evil eyes if they were more intuned with their feminine energy but having evil eyes doesn't have anything to do with being balanced in any way. These people are bitter to their core, narcissistic and at the same time malcontent with themselves. Basically all of the ones I met are very ignorant but acted like they knew everything. If you're able to sense energies you'll notice how disgusting the presence of these people is, I would say they are also energy vampires, they're draining and want to take everything from you at the same moment they dump all their shit on you, even if they aren't throwing the Evil Eye. But like I said most people don't even notice that only how horrible they feel afterwards.
For installing the Evil Eye you need to look at your victim, this can be a long intense stare or a sudden sinister glance you give the target when you are quickly passing by. This can also be done while looking at a picture or video of said person.
That's the reason why it is said never to show that you're happy. This applies both for posting pictures of your success, relationships, family... on your instagram and talking about it with the wrong people for instance at work.
So why is the second version of the Evil Eye not considered portscha ? Quite frankly there is more to portscha. If a master does something like this it will cut way deeper. On an energetic level the Evil Eye looks like dirt on your aura, like a car drove through a puddle and bespattered you with mud.Theoretically it's easy to wash of and everybody can do so themselves, but if nothing is done the dirt accumulates, suffocating your aura so to say, and is very hard to get rid off. You can be affected by it your entire childhood and teens in some cases even longer.
Moreover people with evil eyes desire to harm you but they don't act from a point of free will they're a slave to their drives. A rather extreme example of that would be a neighbor of mine, an old woman, she can barely walk yet she goes around all day and night stopping before every building trying to look into all windows of every appartement, standing still when someone's passes her way starring after them till she can't see them anymore.
Personally I call it the Evil Eye if I want to harm someone just in that given moment, which is just name. It is a combination of things and definitely belongs in the category of Portscha.
Also you can direct the Evil Eye right back to its sender in the moment it's happening, but that's something you have to learn by practice and first you'd have to be affected by the Evil Eye several times in order for you to even notice it
"Proklyatiye"
проклятие
translates to curse/ malediction/ condemnation
verb: проклинать/ "proklinat' " = to curse...
This form of destruction is never planned since it is born out of raw extremely powerful emotions like rage or hatred, also it involves literal cursing in the sense of insulting the victim or wishing something upon them.
It also requires to see the victim in any distance or form. It can be done face to face as well as at the back of person than they're already leaving, as well as at picture as a representation of said person. It isn't necessarily cast out with the intention to harm the other person, oftentimes it happens out of sheer negligence, getting lost in the moment in the strong negative emotion without realizing what one is actually doing. You can do it without the will but with the desire to harm.
An example that is very common in real life is a daughter fighting with her mother. Let's say the daughter was supposed to come home at 11:00 pm but she came back at 3:00 am and was drunk. Obviously the mother would confront her, giving her life lessons. The Daughter would be talking back not willing to listen. The situation would heat itself up very fast and the two would be screaming at each other.[I]Than the mother would call her child a useless whore who can't do anything and will never accomplish anything.[I]Her emotions were so raw, so strong, so real, that this is how she put a Proklyatiye on her daughter, not because she didn't love her in fact most likely because she loves her so deeply that she even got angry with her at the first place.
The two might not talk for the next day but shortly after that everything will be fine. The fight will be long forgotten and nobody will ever think about it again. However the Proklyatiye will show up as a spiral pattern in the daughter's life. She might get a good degree and a nice job but shortly afterwards she will lose it and won't be able to find a new one, when she does she loses it again shortly after her situation seemed to improve. She might have lovers but don't find love.
She might be in a relationship but than left alone used and broken again and again and again. She might get pregnant but have a miscarriage.....You see what I'm getting at. Meanwhile her mother will lay in her bed awake every night thinking about how she could help her poor little girl and how she would like to kill the evil witch that cursed her baby.
Besides family fights, every situation with heated speech is prone to result in a Proklyatiye (arguments at work, about politics, or just when people are drunk). But it can also be done with one sentence from strangers, like than a guy approaches you and calls you a slut when you aren't interested. Keep in mind if a gypsy does something like that it would be a another lever of cursing, so beware when they're trying to sell you roses.
The thing is you can't trust emotions.
Somebody might scream at you and you'd fear for you life, but in the reality the person holds off and doesn't give a fuck about the situation. On the the other hand a person can hold off for too long not reacting to abuse for months and years. Than someday they can just say a controlled sentence seeming to be completely chill on the outside. You might not take them seriously and laugh about it but the emotional power behind the sentence can be so strong that you will deal with the consequences for the rest of your life. It can also accure from plain hatred.
Situations in which a Proklyatiye takes place are often times not special at all, they tend to be forgotten by both the caster and the victim. But depending on who casts it and what the situation is it's able cut very deep because the emotional power is so strong and it can follow you around forever if nothing is done about it.
Some actors refuse to play heated arguments because they are afraid of Proklyatiye, generally they have nothing to fear because the emotions have to be real but than again it depends on how much they get caught in in their roles.
"Portscha"
порча
transletes to something along the lines of decay
verb: портить/ "portit' "= to destroy/to devastate/ to ruin/ to decay ...
Portscha isn't necessary the most destructive but it's the most cunning energy. Here we can start talking about black magic, but just to make it clear magic doesn't have a colour it's neither black or white it's a tool like a knife. You can cut bread with it and stop your hunger, you can feed those in need, or you can kill somebody with it.
Everything jinxes, hexes, curses belongs in the category of Portscha, even though such classifications don't exist in Russian Magic. There's Portscha that can last for a couple of weeks, some stays with you for your life time and is nearly impossible to remove, some sticks to your entire blood line and some to the incarnations of your soul, and then there's also Portscha to death...the list goes on.
Portscha isn't done in the heat of the moment, it's planed, calculated in all its details. You think about it other and other again. Could there be any consequences? Are they worth it? When to cast it? What to use? Here you know exactly what you're dealing with. It is done with the wish to harm, with a conscious desire to do so and with free will.
Portscha says a lot about its caster. Some people forgive and forget. Some people just keep distance. And some go and do portscha. Don't make things judgmental that aren't. They are all choices. There situations in this world for which there isn't enough punishment. Why should any of them be forgiven? Some people get away with everything without ever facing consequences. Why should they? You know that prayer that everybody quotes:
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
Be your own god.
Know the difference.
Decide.
If you decide to do so let the thought wander through your mind for some time, plan it out again and again, let the energy built itself up. (Obviously don't wait if it's a live or die type of situation.)
You will know when the time's right, you'll get a sign, it can be anything. Look out for signs in general, the more you are aware of them the more you will get them.
And ones you get your sign turn your thoughts into actions ideally on the very same day. Don't procrastinate or it will drive you crazy.
I'm not about the motto : "you have to curse to know how to heal".
Russian witchcraft differentiates between three different types of practiconers: "lights ones" who usually don't consider themselves witches, they go by healers and all they do is healing. They are very rare not only nowadays, there have been always only few people who master this art completely, but someone who does plays around the liga of healing poisonous snake bites and curing cancer. Than there are "dark witches" who do portscha, there are lots of masters who only offer this service. Things balance each other out. And of course there are people who practice both. Many masters started they practice with portscha, most of the times it is the first thing students have to do, especially popular is taking a picture from someone's social media and using it for Portscha.
I'm not a fan of jumping head first into portscha either but most people will find it way easier to manifest than positive type of workings.
I myself was amazed how fast it worked when I first through proper Portscha at someone. It was supposed to built itself up and reach its longterm state of being by the next thunderstorm. And by fast I mean the person sent me an audio considering something I would have liked to see as the result maybe two hours after I was down, which was in the middle of the night and after I breaked off all contact to her, again I already knew what and when I was doing it. This you can call a coincidence if you want to, fact is that the next I saw her, which was two days after, I already could see clearly that my hex has begun working and I also how it started to get stronger. The effects of it can still be seen today. Yet, like you can imagine, I didn't quite worked how I wanted it to. It wasn't as drastic, never reached it highest potential. That's because I got to entangled with it in the middle run. I liked how fast it worked so I couldn't stop thinking about it and how it would develop.
For Portscha to be its most powerful, you have to be cold blooded.
If you ask me you can't let emotions get in your way. If you do so while casting, it won't work at all (which is especially applied to my "Evil Eye jinx" I mentioned above), if you do so afterwards you'll mess up your results.
Even if your goal is to see your target burn, you have to be cold.
Portscha is calculated and cold. It is the contrary of a Proklyatiye.
If you're attempting Portscha in the heat of passion it isn't any different than a Proklyatiye, which is like furiously throwing punches at someone. Sure if you know where to hit them, you will hurt them. But If you're doing it on purpose you lost the unconsciously-manifesting-card. Now everybody can see you. It is extremely easy to pull you away and stop you, so you'll never manage to create serious damage
In contrast true Portscha is calmly walking past someone, stabbing them with a knife and walking away like nothing ever happened.
Who could do anything about that? Well that's a topic for another blog.
