max: i don't know how i keep surprising you since i'm like an open book. everyone about me is written all over my face.

max: maybe the next time we see each other face to face?

ebony: everyone's got a few surprises hidden within 'em. even some that they don't even know about. guess that's the surprise all in itself.

max: good!

max: is it weird that i am one of the few who actually likes mushy-mushy? what am i talking about, of course it's weird that i like it.

max: and once again, may i know the other reasons?

ebony: i don't think it's weird. i think it just makes you even cuter than you were before. not sure how that's really possible. you keep on surprising me, maxie.

max: good, because if i die, it's in your hands!

max: seems like many people around here aren't so mushy-mushy. that makes me feel like the odd man out.

max: you need to clarify a bit more, eb. i'm always acting nice to you.

ebony: oh, man. that's a lot of guilt to deal with. no worries, i'll be on my best behavior.

ebony: i guess everyone's got their reasons. it's not like it's a bad thing. it's just weird to some. definitely weird to me.

max: ew, as in the fact that you find it lame that you want to come see me? or ew because you hate sounding lame?

max: which, by the way /wasn't/ lame.

ebony: ooh, no. i wont. i know when to pick my fights. i'm just saying, i gotta see it sometime. black widow's the girl.

ebony: i'm not really the mushy-mushy sort of person so ew to sounding lame.

max: worse- she can go all black widow on you if she wanted to. acts calm, but can rip you to shreds without a second thought.

max: oh, i will. not going to ask or say anything about it until it happens.

max: nope. ask anyone else who knows me, i'm relentless.

ebony: alright, now i've got to see it.

ebony: good choice.

max: that and also the fact that my sister would have gotten angry at me if she found out that i agreed. you don't want to see val when she's angry.

max: for some reason, i have a slight idea on how you're planning on shutting me up.
