Following devotee Petunia in a deeply divided world — between the "Christian" theocratic surveillance state and the "radicals" against it — on the brink of war, nuclear fallout, and global devastation. That is until she receives an invite to enter a stasis with fellow "societal pillars" until after the fallout has subsided. After which these pillars can contribute to rebuilding the world post-apocalypse. The project backfires on her as she fails to be raptured while in stasis, causing irreparable damage to her mental state leaving her dead set on finding a way to reach heaven. Resulting in a pilgrimage, alongside Monty and the rest of her stasis cohort, to retrace what has happened in the years they've spent in stasis, discover the worlds new climate, and seek God's salvation for these damned souls.
