one of the things that fascinates me and that i appreciate so much about them is how they have always been so smart with money. like dan using his partner bonus to splash out on a camera. them living beneath their means to save up. even dan refusing to buy the $30 cocktail mixer thing at the kitchen store recently. they just seem to have a huge respect and appreciation and gratitude for the opprotunites they've had and the money that they've earned and has come to them over the years. the way they still wear clothes from ages ago. there's just this underlining gratitude in it all that just makes me appreciate them even more

REAL! it was so interesting to see how they handled the influx of money post tabinof/tatinof contract because aside from the first japhan trip they booked in celebration nothing about their lifestyle really changed (compared to their peers who were also benefiting from the vlogger boom and all of a sudden were flaunting their weather/living above their means)

the fact that they bought the phouse in 2017 knowing they got that book/tour deal check and decided the most important thing was buying a house for their future...

and yes the gratitude that still exists!!! phil making a point to say they were so lucky to get to do the hotel video (x) and them trying to make their content as accessible or reasonable as possible when they absolutely could have done a cash grab post hard launch. they're just good people who are still humble and don't want to take their life for granted
