I got well enough to work on Friday, and I’m about 99% well now!

The last 1% is the lingering gut irritation that has kept me on a bland/BRAT food diet for a second week. There’s just an ominous gurgling that won’t go, and I wouldn’t exactly call myself ‘regular’ (no more diarrhoea but when I do need to go it is urgent).

I feel less tired and less dehydrated this evening but the horrible pooping persists.

I’ve eaten a bit more though it’s not enough, so I might have to get some full sugar squash.

More and more I’m suspicious this is a virus; I’m having tests done and if it turns out I’m right, I’m going to be so annoyed lmao.

No one else I know or have come into contact with is ill, even if they shared the same meal as me, apparently I’m just chaining illnesses together.

I didn’t even get a chance to wear my fancy birthday trousers : (

Had a couple of over-the-phone doc appointments via 111 today; diarrhoea is slowing down (thank fuck), they’re happy with how I’m treating it, and idk if it’s an NHS thing but if you tell a GP you’re anxious about diarrhoea they will immediately tell you about the last time they had it.

The GPs agreed that I’ve just had shit luck with the timing of my period, if I’m still dodgy in a couple of days tho they want me to drop off a sample and I can’t think of anything worse.

I still feel super dehydrated in the morning and the answer to that is the obvious ‘drink more before going to bed’.

I’m going to sleep in the living room tonight to escape my sun trap bedroom.
