Spruced up the alley on my recent visit.
Just watching the dismantling of separation of church and state, the protection of checks and balances turning a blind eye, secret police squads rounding up people in the streets, lack of due process for all, protests being called terrorism, and the dismantling of freedom of the press.
We all know he’s not smart enough to have orchestrated this. He’s a puppet and I hope when this madness ends that there are trials and punishment for those that orchestrated, enabled, and cheered on these treasonous acts. Can’t you just hear them saying, I was only doing my job, I was only following orders, I didn’t understand what was happening. No, not acceptable. Don’t worry they will get their due process, despite not allowing it for others.
All of this for a born-rich, megalomaniac, old fool. Lucky for him you’ll never go broke pandering to idiots in America

The boat is sinking faster than we can bail
The road map to autocracy is sadly well-known. What is less appreciated is the boiling frog aspect of it. We don't realize how far down the road we are because it's everything everywhere all at once.
Congress has cravenly surrendered its power to Trump, the military has been commandeered, the press has been cowed, academia has been harassed and silenced, lawyers have been threatened and sued.
The last remaining reservoir of resistance to autocracy is the Supreme Court, yet its hard-right majority is now squeezing the last remnants of a free society under the rule of law out of existence.
It's getting harder and harder to see a way out.
