A gentle knock patted at the front of the shop before the rustling body entered, a petite silhouette standing in the doorway. Taking a step inside, the small woman observed the gallery before her-- Masks covered the walls and mannequins stood around in various places-- uttering a relieved sigh before raising her voice.
"E-Excuse me," she called out, letting the door slide behind her. "Is the owner here?" When no response greeted her, the apricot-haired woman strolled over to one of the mask-covered walls, catching the details of the various designs.
Might as well explore the artist's gallery, and maybe look into a commission--? Heaven knows the life of an artist can be an extremely rough one.
Unusual. Not many ghouls were coming in to the cafe these past few days, from what the rosette behind the counter could observe. She could understand though, the Doves were closing in on the 20th Ward for a while so it would be a risk to hunt or be active.
So when her ears heard the familiar chime and her nose caught whiff of the discriminating scent of ghoul, her eyes darted over to the entering customer. Cerise optics gives the new customer a small look over (her appearance was peculiar enough—) Soon enough, she was excusing herself from the counter and approaching, slipping herself in the seat across the stranger with her face straight and hands folded on the table.
“ This isn’t a blind date, I’m simply bored on my break and since you’re the first ghoul to enter Anteiku today, I wanted to talk to someone that wasn’t one of my co-workers. “
"I'm only pulling your leg," she huffed playfully. "Besides, blind dates usually turn out to be a bit of a drag." She wasn't crazed on the idea of it, but perhaps if it was planned correctly, she could get a meal out of it-- But that was only if she was desperate enough to use such a risky method.
Hot-pink hues fixated themselves on the she-ghoul, her arms leaning on the table as support for her chin. She was unable to recognize her face, but that was excusable due to her lack of appearance at the cafe. Had it not been for the attention of the Doves, she surely wouldn't have the creeping feelings of paranoia strike her whenever she walked out of her apartment, and thus made her way over to the innocently veiled coffee shop. Certainly she'd feel less stress if she didn't have to shelter an potential inconvenience, yet she still fooled herself into believing in the best outcome.
Some would call it "having faith", others would define it as "naivety".
"I knew that those white-feathered rats might cause some problems, but I didn't think it'd be this bad... Might as well break the ice, right? You can call me Izumi. Pleasure to meet ya."

A small chime echoed in the cafe, the door gently closing behind the peculiarly dressed ghoul. A yawn escaped her as she greeted the server-- the usual wave and hellos were addressed briefly--and the attendant sat her down at a table. Sent back with only an order of "the usual", the misfit waited patiently, admiring the view outside.
Caught up in a daydream mixed with the warm aroma, she barely caught the attention of another taking the seat directly opposite from hers. Odd, she mused with a smirk that curled onto her features- She certainly wasn't expecting company.
"I didn't think I was set on a blind date," she teased the stranger. "But then again, they are called blind for a reason."
