Fuka Fukukawa Clarissa Rennard is a woman on the run from a lifetime of chronic poor desicion making. At least she left her villainous life as the lapdog of a tyrannical space dictator behind her, but the Full Life Consequences of her past cling with the tenacity that blood etches into the fingerprints of your hand. Aided by her anxious AI assistant, ZED, Clarissa freelances as a mercenary-slash-tech support person for hire to fund the building projects she throws herself into full-throttle to distract her from the monster of her own making that mocks her from the recesses of her cybernetics.

I mean, never say never, amirite…the blog’s not going anywhere, so maybe I’ll hop back on and do Something with it, someday. But I think I’m at a stage in my life that Tumblr RP is too much for me, and I’ve been avoiding making peace with that for too long.

I miss Clarissa’s relationships, I miss headcanon dumping all over the dash, and I miss all my mutuals’ beautiful writings and graphics and art, but in my almost year gone I haven’t missed being HERE, you know...?

And man, my hands still just suffer so much after any extended keyboard use, it’s time to call it quits officially. Thank you to all the wonderful people who have written with me over the past few years, it’s been a blast.

I DO plan to keep writing Clarissa in some small capacity, in an RP format that feels a little easier to me to hop in and out of casually and as my stamina allows without feeling “committed” to having to keep up. So if you’re possibly interested in writing with me outside of tumblr, hit up my DMs and I’ll tell you where I’ll be at. (I WON’T be RPing on Discord though, sorry. Gave it a solid effort a couple times before, hated it to death. I’m just not wired for that kind of infrastructure).

Krang frequently winds up presiding as referee or judge over Clarissa and Shredder's relationship squabbles. Clarissa is stubborn and hard-headed, Saki is stubborn and hard-headed...yeah, they can yell and butt heads and go around and around in circles until everyone else on the Technodrome wants to rip off their ears just to stop hearing about their petty relationship shit, but then they'll never get any work done. Unless their blobby landlord intervenes himself first (because these belligerent nincompoops are interrupting his stories), Clarissa, in all of her pettiness, winds up dragging Krang in as mediator because she knows that most of the time, Krang is going to side with her. Saki no doubt hates this but finds immense satisfaction in the occasions when Clarissa gets UNO-reversed and called out on her own blatantly obvious bullshit. The "I told you so" is so potent, that critical level smugness could kill a guy.

Clarissa's connection to her Japanese heritage was soured by Hiromitsu's betrayal. Until very recently, everything she'd learned and experienced of Japan was through the guidance of the man who would ultimately write her off as his failure, who violated her so terribly in trying to strip her power from her...just a part of why she felt no qualms in abandoning her Japanese name along with the rest of her identity after she fled Eclipse. Saki's deep love for his culture has allowed her to reconnect with her own on fresh terms...but conversely, it's made her better appreciate parts of the culture within which she actually grew up, too. Strata 9 had very little to its name and wasn't an environment that catered to excess or art...but culture grows wherever people go. In return for teaching her about Japan, Clarissa shares slang, customs and cocktail recipes from her ill-fortunate but also hardy and richly multicultural home. She might not suffer much home-sickness for Strata 9...but when Saki is talking about his home, he's really sharing with her who he is. He should get to know her the same way.
