f/o who doesnt really know how to verbally cheer you up if you're sad (or maybe you dont take verbal reassurance well/dont feel like talking about it) so they take you to do your favorite things that make you happy instead. maybe you go get ice cream or go to a movie or watch your favorite tv show or they treat you to your favorite meal. maybe they take you to your favorite store and buy you something. you're not dumb, you know what theyre trying to do, and you're grateful for it. you feel seen and loved.

to all fellow selfshippers out there, I have a question!: do any of you choose not to follow (on social media if they have any) the VA's/actors/actresses who play your f/o's simply because it probably breaks the immersion you have/feel over the f/o you pair yourself with? OR does it not really bother you that much?
