Pokemon Scarlet has been a comforting distraction for me lately. 🥹 Fightin those baddies. Collectin them shiny things and catchin them all's. Amongst other things-

It caught the same spider 5 or 10 times before giving up and taking a hazer, which it also dropped. It caught a mother spider and dropped it twice, then caught and dropped a baby noodlefly.

In the end it resorted to hunting a batfly. It somehow dropped the batfly too. There were no other predators in the area. It just decided to drop the deceased batfly on the ground and left it there.

First of all, this is a phenomenal thing and sounds rife with comedic potential.

Second, saint and arti are definitely good picks! The scugs with more bombastic personalities seem most fit for this concept, so Rivulet would also be a good choice. Maybe toss Gourmand in there? They're less energetic, but would be a good mediator and planning type while not stuck up. Saint's often portrayed as stoic and serious in fanon, so they could serve as the straightman.

So you'd have the hyper-violent one, the speedy and impulsive/gremlin one depending on your headcanons, Uncle Guy keeping everyone civil but able to take a joke, and obligatory tired/annoyed serious type.
