I keep seeing those God awful genderswap designs for the band. Just a tiny amount of body hair. Zero wrinkles. Bodies, hair and fashion styles like models with no variations between the characters whatsoever. This time I'm really gonna do it.

what do you think is the cause for murdoc’s dislike for 2d? I think its a culmination of several things (general psychology of bullying coming from a place of being irritable and needing a punching bag for other issues, unrelated to their target of harassment, murdoc acting like how he and his brother would be towards each other, so acting that way to 2d and not realizing the scope of its affects, murdoc being an assertive person, so using his influence on the most easily influenced person around, jealousy, ableism and annoyance at 2d’s undiagnosed traits, dissatisfaction, resentment for not wanting them around but needing them as the face and voice of the band)
these are just some of my thoughts, i know in later phases their relationship has gotten better, but murdoc obviously doesn’t respect 2d that much and would forget he left them in a hot car. I want to know other people’s opinion on this.
this isn’t a shipping thing for me, i dont care about that, and I say all this with love for murdoc as my favorite band member, with awareness about his cringe traits
I think you hit the nail on the head with a lot of the things you already said. I Also believe some other reasons behind it are, one, obviously, the abuse he himself experienced throughout his childhood and formative years. Not just from his peers but especially from his father. Theres also the point of view that he's incredibly envious of 2D. I always viewed his relationship in earlier phases with 2D to mirror Murdocs relationship with his father in certain aspects. He constantly feels the need to flex the imbalanced power dynamic between them, constantly telling 2D he owes him because he takes care of him, etc. I don't think all of it was entirely just like it was with his father, but there's a lot of things that I feel like they click.
It's honestly a load of different things when you really sit down to look at it. One implication can lead to another and it all just keeps unraveling. Murdoc himself has a ton of issues in general, but I feel like "issues" is a major understatement. And those issues definitely don't end when it comes to the other band members, 2D especially. But that's one of the things that makes him an incredibly interesting character to me. He's trying with everything he has to make everyone believe he's this one dimensional comically evil person. He acts like childhood and past doesn't affect him, or that it does but he doesn't care, when in reality, Murdoc is a character who cares a LOT. To his own detriment unfortunately.

Made this discovery a while ago, realizing that murdoc’s voice sounded very much like tom kenney in the early early days of phase 1, tom kenney being Sumo’s voice actor. Both characters even laugh the same its awesome.

Finally catching up on Deltarune chapters so I can play the latest one and I KNOW this will be controversial but Queen deserves all the Tumblr sexyman fanart that Tenna is getting. Tenna is OK he's fun but Queen coming before him and setting the stage for similar aspects of Tenna's level design just made me miss her so baddddd I know that Tenna is #gaydivorced and is an object head man in a suit and has abandonment issues and ppl love a sopping wet sad man but have you seen Queen. Have you looked at her in her giant robot form also. Have you considered how draw-able she is. Are you all fools. Must I do everuthing myself
Some stuff made up for Murdoc's mom. Even more rambling below weeee (TW for suicide and some pretty dark stuff)
Her name is Victoria. A young woman from Italy who traveled to the UK to start her life. Victoria suffered greatly from horrible night terrors. Visions of awful things where she would wake up screaming and thrashing. She would keep herself awake to prevent these horrible dreams but it only made her more manic because of sleep deprivation. She suffered from this since she was a child, and it caused her to be institutionalized. Before coming to the UK, she managed to somewhat control this until she met Sebastian. She was relatively young when they met (20-24) while seb was around mid to late 30s. He was manipulative and cruel. He drove her mad again as her night terrors returned and she was institutionalized again. She was also very catholic, and her nightmares would usually contain a lot of religious imagery. She was convinced that Sebastian was the devil himself and had nightmares about him dragging her or her unborn child to hell. They were especially relentless throughout her entire pregnancy with Murdoc, and they only ceased/lessened after he was born. He became somewhat of an anchor for her, and while her night terrors persisted, they did become scarce since most of her attention was focused on him.
She'd spend every day in her room cleaning while listening to motown records with little Murdoc on her hip. She'd often take him to the window and tell him how when he was bigger she would take him to the church just down the road every Sunday, and then they would play in in the river right by it. Despite being a decent mother, the doctors chose to take Murdoc away and give him up to his father. She became manic, screaming that Sebastian would kill him, so instead they said she'd be able to keep him if she "cured" herself, via lobotomy. She didn't want to lobotomize herself, so she went out one night in the rain and gave Murdoc to Sebastian herself (well, in a way.) Before later drowning herself in the river by the church.
Posting these here too, TLDR some kid has been harrassing me since last year. Didn't want to put them on blast since again they're a minor but they're making very serious and false claims against me. Do not engage with them.
