"The fun thing for us for that end sequence was his costume -- what he would have left over from the ship. I don't really think you see it in the film but the trousers that he's wearing, they're cut from one of the flight suits. And we've done a belt buckle that's made of xenonite that Rocky would've made for him. And all of the sewing on it is a little bit - it's nowhere near as good as Jenny would normally do, so we had to purposely ask Jenny to do bad sewing at the top of his trousers, so it'd look like he would've done it.
And then our brilliant breakdown department, run by Tim Shanahan, they break everything down to look like it's 10, 20 years old. So his cardigan and the t-shirt's all faded. And even on the laces -- the laces in his chuck taylors -- because your laces always break after a certain period of time, so we found stuff that was on the ship, like elastics and stuff. There's a nice big close-up actually in the film, so you can see that they're not normal laces, they're like stuff that he would've got from the ship that he's made as make-shift laces."

Alice in psycholand au
a crossover between the games Psychonauts and Alice madness returns. Razputin wakes up in wonderland and is unable to leave, he runs into Alice and they realize their psychically tethered to each other, and the only way for raz to leave is to help Alice fight her inner demons, which is going to be especially hard because this is the most damaged mind raz has seen in a while.

escaped from the motherlobe, on the run, trying to evade the Psychonauts, Dr. Loboto returns to thorney towers to retrieve his supposedly missing child and his employees sheegor and crispin, only to realize everyone has left, the only thing that remains is a crumbling asylum and some exploding rats. Meanwhile, raz pokes through his mind looking for extra baggage and figments (as I was when I thought of this au) and comes across a secret portion of loboto’s mind, where he discovers a cluster of mental connections linked to his stance on psychics. In hopes to repair the damaging ideas his parents had put upon him, raz tries to disconnect the thoughts, and gets booted from his mind by an unseen force. However, raz nor loboto realize the consequences this incident will have, good consequences or bad consequences? Depends on who you’re asking.
metamorphic au
After feeling sick for a number of days, which he simply shrugged off as the Eridian equivalent of a cold, rocky wakes up as an Eridian-human hybrid, something that shouldn’t be scientifically possible. Grace finds him disoriented and delirious, and helps him learn to function as a human.

after years of kinger, Pomni, and Caine putting their heads together to try and fix abstracted mind files, Jax comes back from the dead for an unforeseen reason, and they try to help her find her place in a world that has moved on without them.
Psychowalkers au
Wolfwalkers but with the characters from Psychonauts. forced to close down their circus due to donatella’s death and the aggressive laws regarding Romani individuals, raz and his father, Augustus, settle in a Kilkenny Ireland that has been taken over by the Malik’s after a coupe in grulovia. One day raz sneaks out to join his father hunting, and meets a mysterious girl named Lili, who turns into a wolf when she sleeps…
a different form a different time au
after almost 300 years of bill being in the theraprism, and showing no signs of improvement, the axolotl tries out an alternative strategy. They plan to send him to gravity falls for the summer (in a gross human body as to not draw attention to him) to try and make up with the pines family, if he can make any headway by the end of the summer his sentence at theraprism would be greatly reduced. Seeing this as an easy opportunity to cheat the system, bill takes up the offer, but soon realizes making up with the people you nearly killed, turned to stone, and manipulated isn’t as easy as it sounds (crazy I know).
Return trip au
After the florpus, zim notices the tallest haven’t been returning his calls, and he goes out into space to try and find them. After what seems like forever zim finds the remnants of the massive floating on the edges of the galaxy, the whole crew dead. Zim finds an old tape recorded right before the tallest died, their farewell message, revealing their true thoughts about the little irken. Going through a bit of an existential crisis, zim tries to leave the ruins but is intercepted by the resisty, who have taken it into their hands to eliminate any surviving irkens from the universe. He has a brief talk with lard nar about the consequences of his actions (he does not like this) and manages to escape with a damaged pak and an even more damaged gir. Right before he passes out he sets his ship on autopilot to earth. It’s now been 3 earth years, and a now 15 year old dib has mostly given up on trying to find zim, or trying to prove the existence of any aliens for that matter. He finds zim crashed in the forest and takes him back to his house for dissection, but decides against it, after all, zim is the only friend enemy dib has ever had.

I’ve seen people headcanon grace as transmasc, and in the earlier parts of the movie while he still has amnesia he’s trying to figure out why he has scars on his chest (obviously from top surgery) because he doesn’t recall that he’s trans, the concept’s really funny to me.
This hit so hard for me because I’ve been following the show for it’s entire run, I watched it a day after the pilot premier, have stopped everything Im doing to get to the premieres right on time since then, I watched the show’s production quality get better and better, watched people theorize and make fanart and discuss characters and freak out about lore drops. I bought merch and supported where I could. I threw a huge watch party for episode 8 and went to the theater for episode 9, and call me cringe but I just had to wave back at her knowing this would be a farewell to an era.
