And for Rachel i think that was what made her be how she was like people constantly mocked her and bullied her for everything , her clothes, her personality, her body etc. So the only thing nobody could mock was her voice and i believe it's the only thing she was actually confident on and that was what made her be so defensive about the things related to it .
