Just thinking about how even identical twins start to look different as they get older because of life. I think Kevin had a crush on Andrew but growing up in the nest he was never taught how to separate sexual, platonic, and romantic feelings. All he knows is Andrew is his person his partner and that means everything. I think Andrew knew and their were a few times that things almost/did happen, but Kevin dousen't fully respect Andrew's boundaries because he comes from a place where that is an option. I don't think he would ever do something Andrew told him not to but he wouldn't always ask or wait for verbal consent and only notice somethings wrong when Andrew pushes back and Kevin would interpret this as rejection or a loss. Like he just needs to be better and lean all of Andrew's unwritten rules without even considering asking because with Rico that would mean more trouble.
Andrew really likes Kevin but still has all his walls up and Kevin is not willing to fight him for ground. He puts Kevin in the category of people that want something from him, they have a deal that makes Andrew feel like he has control and is useful. He wants to think of his attraction as something casual and detached like Roland and everytime he can start to think of more Kevin puts his hand somewhere they don't belong and they are back to square one.
I 100% think Kevin still thinks he is straight. He thinks he doesn't want a relationship he just wants to sleep with Andrew and that dousen't make him gay because that's just a thing guys sometimes do in the nest. (I know theirs a lot more nuance to that but I don't know if Kevin does)
That's why he never picked up on all the wild tension between Andreil even when they're obviously together in book 3 because to him guys just be like that sometimes.

There isn't a lot of physical description of character in aftg, but I think it works because the author has made our POV character the type of guy who just doesn't tell you stuff he doesn't think is necessary. I don't think Neil lies a lot as the narrator but I think he glosses over things that he doesn't view as important or doesn't want to share.
So I think it's really funny that we know the exact height of every single man on the foxes. Because that is the type of shit that a 5'3 man would view as the most important detail.
Did Nicky Change Andrew's name? Because we know that his last name was Doe cuz they didn't know his last name. So it must have been changed at some point, and I don't see Andrew finding out about his family he wants nothing to do with and wanting to take up the family name. So did Nikki do it when he adopted him? Was it part of his deal with Luther? Was it part of Officer Higgins ploy to get him to spend time with his brother?
Oh no is Andreil just soapxghost but this time I like the source material.
Just thinking about Andrew growing up in foster/group homes and then his time in juvie surrounded by lots of kids all his life. So his half of the foxes are probably not the first group of people he's chosen to protect. As much as he likes to pretend to be heartless I can see him beating up his foster siblings bullies and forming a little gang in juvie of people he's decided were worth his time. The thing that makes the fox's different is there permanence. He always new that these people would move on so he never opened up. A silent protector just like he is for Kevin and Neil in the first book. And with the way he treats Aaron I don't think he knows any other way to be a brother.
All this to say I think Andrew has a soft spot for kids or at least as soft as he can get. I think protecting children would be second nature to him because he's been doing it his whole life in one way or another.
