I saw a post calling Jin Guangyao the Devil, and using things that are wrong in the text, and even adding Jin Guangshan's death to the list of bad things he did.

I tried to defend his character and got dogpiled and insulted, how nice🫩

And of course it's the 'other characters did nothing bad ever' crowd. And the 'you didn't read the book' people. Also, everything Jin Guangyao did, even the good things, were with evil intentions.

I hate it here.

How come when I'm a Loki fan in the Marvel fandom I'm so chill and the people are so chill, and there's normal fandom content, but when I'm a Jin Guangyao fan in the MDZS fandom everything I find is... Like that. (That=Random hate, accusations of whitewashing the character, takes so bad it makes me wonder if I read the wrong books, hate in fanart of the character)

Context of his actions? Don't know her. It's easier to paint everything in the worse light possible.

Shout out to my fave takes so far:

-Jin Guangyao is technically a nepo baby

-Madam Jin was justified in abusing Jin Guangyao because she could sense he was evil

Loki should use his powers and bring Guangyao to the Marvel fandom. They would appreciate him.

Sometimes being in the MDZS fandom feels like jumping from one character rant to another, and unending pages upon pages on how that character is evil or wrong and every action they had ever done it's terrible and can't possibly ever be justified, and more endless discourse.

And I've done all I can to curate what gets recomended to me, but it's seems that type of content it's unavoidable unless you block every fandom tag.

From time to time I will even fall into temptation and start arguing with people and getting angry.

But today I got a video from a girl having a cake with Jgy printed on it, and being super happy and excited about it.

And it made me think. Do I want to be the person making fifty posts about how much I hate certain character, or do I want to be the girl with the cake of the character I love?

I think the answer is obvious.
