Sheena, Monty's widow, released a lot of concept art and behind the scenes info. Apparently she was forced out of RT after Monty died along with Shane, and it's not hard to guess the two VAs behind it.

Uh....why?

The whole deal with accusing Miles and Kerry of doing this is that...they are the only writers left. And the contention is on the writing. So the accusation fits on the surface level because assuming a LOT of leaps in logic: Miles and Kerry would have reason to kick Sheena and Shane out.

But Arryn? Who was just a VA on the show? Barbara makes some sense as she was also the head of RT HR at the time. But it's not about Barbara. It's about Barbara and Arryn. Why is Arryn added in?

If I had to guess, it's because Bumbleby is considered woke and this hard right winger thinks RWBY was conservative goon material. Ignoring that Monty was probably the most progressive guy on the staff.

In like a comnbat situation and stuff I like to play either rushdown or support so something like Pale Blue Dot or De Sterrenacht.

Combat wise: Nine Lives actually. I actually stated before it's my favorite Noble Phantasm of the whole franchise since it isn't just about slashing really good: it's an adaptive power that changes to match the opponent. Just the sheer breath of mastery of so many weapons, of so many different approaches of combat, to be able to match any foe is the kind of stuff that makes my heart rush.

I dunno much about that guy but I kind of agree.

I'm more in the camp of 'existing just to spite the other side doesn't make you good, it makes you dependent on them.' Historically, always focusing on the 'other' has never worked out unless your goal is to kill everyone. Since you'll always define any opposition as that 'other' and justify killing them. You know, 'counter revolutionaries' and all.

That's not a hypothetical to me: I AM fed up with the anti-woke side.

Just today, I saw people circlejerking about how Belle from Beauty and the Beast was a freeloading bitch and that Gaston was some great hero. Belle, who did nothing but desire for more than a stagnant rural village, is worse than Gaston, a bullheaded man with sexist beliefs and an ego that is currently brawling with DIO's. And this isn't an isolated incident either: it's one part of a trend of anti-woke people doing the feminist thing of reinterpretating media to bash it for mildly going against their agenda.

In particular, the glorification of characters like Gaston pisses me off because it's all about this 'reclamation of old school masculinity' which on paper sounds alright...except that it's never about an actually good, moral and just male figure. It's never about the battle worn heroes who have grown old and wisened, passing his wisdom down to the next generation. It's never about the general who acknowledges the validity of his opponent but accepts that their war means one side must be defeated. Nor is it about the hero who learns that personal glory and honor should be secondary to providing a good future. No, it's all about characters like Jinwoo, a shallow depiction of masculinity with all the upsides but none of the sacrifice, or even worse, characters like Gaston, typically male characters that actually DO demonstrate the negative aspects of masculinity.

Of course, that's just an extension of people acting like what a man should be is someone at the top of the food chain or that Christanity is just about all the bloody Crusades. And nothing about the calm assurance that should come with maturity. Nothing about finding contentment with who you are or mastery of yourself. Just shallow bullshit that means nothing.

And my god, the glorification of overly sexy female character designs and the shitting of self if a character isn't the most sexy woman to walk the Earth. I have seen more people post the same damn scene from the Fairy Tail movie than anyone actually talking about the damn manga. Or screaming 'PEAK!' because big tits are being shown off rather than anything that makes the character fun or interesting. Juvia's not just a complete bombshell, she's super cute in comedic settings and an absolute sweetheart to others outside Gray. She can be that and drive you wild.

And oh yeah! The fucking EXPLICIT BIGOTRY. There's nothing even to say here: it's just blatantly going 'brown people/Jews/women suck!' If I see someone use 'brown' as an insult or 'troon', I'm gonna start treating them like I did people who used 'white' as an insult.

But here's the kicker: I ain't siding with the left.Masculinity isn't inherently toxic; you can't just let everyone into the country when they fundamentally hate the beliefs of that country; male characters that kick ass are cool; curvy women are uber hot...you ain't getting me to agree to the bigotry. But I'm just sick of this shit. It's all so fake and performative, just like with the woke shit. And worst of all: I fucking called this shit happening before, back in like 2017. I opposed the woke shit in large part because I KNEW this pushback was gonna happen and I knew I was gonna hate it. So now I'm living through it. Thanks.
