Since I'm considering moving some of my stuff here from insta, or posting some of it just here, here's one of them I'm proud of.

It was quite a challenge because of the lights and the watery surface. (The little patterns you see are the sign of Nightshade. A little lovely poison for AI. Of course prints don't have them :)

Dragonborn Durge is 6'8" or 204cm. Halsin and Minsc are 6'7" or 200cm. Karlach is 6'4" or 192cm. Devil form Wyll is 6'1" or 185cm (the horns net him ~2 in / ~5cm!) Human form Wyll, Astarion, and Gale are 5'11" or 180 cm. Jaheira, Shadowheart, Minthara, and Lae'zel are 5'7" or 170cm.

As far as actual in game explanation, he’s just weirdly large lol

There is a throwaway line where he jokes that maybe generations back he has an orc ancestor, but it just seems to be a joke

Someone on tumblr (and I’ll never find the post now that I need it 😭 so so pardon if I get details wrong!) pointed out that he’s from the High Forest and possibly might have Uthgardt (human barbarians known for their large size) somewhere many generations back in his blood. That seems like a decent enough possibility!

I think the reason he was designed that way (large with no canon explanation) ties in to the fact that a lot of Halsin's character is about contradictions. He has a line about "ideas about what someone can or cannot be being too narrow"

He's built like a brick shit house but he's very gentle and kind

He's a "healer of some renown" but he's also a powerful warrior with a tendancy to tear people apart as a bear

He's an elf but he's not delicate or slim

He's wise and measured but he's SO horny he accidentally wild shapes
