The doctor is in and he's got crocs

so at some point around 2019/2020, in I think a VC, a group of people realized hey... it's kinda funny that doc rhymes with crocs

so they get the blog url @drocs. and then they start posting a LOT of fanart of docm77 wearing crocs, usually neon green. (Some were submissions, but not all.)

the admins of the account are secret, all hermitblr knows is that there are many. detective accounts pop up to suss out who's behind the meme. nobody ever comes forward. It's later revealed some of the detectives were Council members undercover, trying to throw off their scent.

Some of the posts on drocs are very ominous, hinting there is lore, almost like drocs itself is some sort of strange religion.

then somebody TELLS SCICRAFT ABOUT DROCS AND A MEMBER SPENDS 30 MINUTES ON STREAM GOING THROUGH THE BLOG. (link here, thank you @sycon-senti for preserving it!)

scicraft thinks drocs is the funniest thing ever, and they're friends with doc, so they tell him. I guess doc also thinks its funny, or he doesnt get it but knows other people think it's funny, so drocs finally becomes canon at the start of season 7 when doc puts the crocs on his Minecraft skin.

Eventually the council revealed themselves, the bit was kinda done, and since then it's been dormant for over a year.

And now Doc has a sponsorship from Crocs.
